Your Demands and Needs This policy meets the demands and needs of those who wish to recover the financial loss incurred from having to pay the Excess applicable under a Home Insurance Policy, subject to the limits of this Excess Protection policy. Kwik Fit Insurance Services does not make personal recommendations as to the suitability of the policy to individual circumstances. Insurer This policy is underwritten by AmTrust International Underwriters Limited, a company registered in Ireland under Registration No , whose Registered Office is: 40 Westland Row, Dublin2 Ireland. AmTrust International Underwriters Limited is authorised and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland and is licensed to operate in the United Kingdom, under a freedom of Services basis as directed by the European Communities (Non-Life Insurance) Framework Regulations, 1994, under Registration No Your policy is administered on behalf of Kwik Fit Insurance Services by Business & Domestic Insurance Services which is a trading style of Motorway Direct Plc. What makes up this policy? This Policy Document and the Cover Schedule document must be read together as they form Your insurance contract. 3

4 Monetary limits We can insure You up to the Cover Limit as specified on Your Cover Schedule. Cooling off period Kwik Fit Insurance Services will refund in full Your premium, if, within 14 days of purchasing this insurance or receiving Your policy documents, whichever is the latter You decide that it does not meet Your needs. This is providing that You have not reported and are not intending to report a claim. Once the 14 days has expired You may still cancel this insurance but no refund of premium will be given. Jurisdiction and law This Insurance policy will be governed by the laws of England, whose courts alone shall have jurisdiction in any dispute arising from this insurance. Complaints Procedure We do everything possible to make sure that You receive a high standard of service. 5 Compensation Scheme AmTrust International Underwriters Limited is a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). Further information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS (www.fscs.org.uk). Who is eligible to purchase this Policy? Any Person: 1. Permanently resident in the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). Cover provided Subject to the appropriate premium having been paid, the Insurer will pay to You in each relevant Period of Insurance, an amount equal to the amount of the Excess in relation to each settled Home Insurance claim up to Your Cover Limit. Your Cover Limit Cover Limits available: a) 200 in any one policy period b) 400 in any one policy period Please refer to the Cover Schedule for Your annual aggregate Cover Limit. Definitions Any word or expression to which a specific meaning has been attached will bear the same meaning throughout this policy. Attachment Date This is the date that this policy started. Cover Schedule This forms part of this policy document and contains the name of the Insured Person and the level of cover provided by this policy. Claims Administrator Means Business & Domestic Administration, Warranty House, Savile Street East, Don Valley, Sheffield, South Yorkshire S4 7UQ Cover Limit Means the total aggregate amount which We will pay to You under this policy during the relevant Period of Insurance being the amount specified on Your Certificate of Insurance. 5

6 Excess Means the amount You must pay under the terms of Your Home Insurance Policy. Home Insurance Policy Means the insurance policy, which must include buildings insurance, where the structure of the home is covered, and/or contents insurance where the contents of Your home are insured against theft or damage. Main Residence Means where You and Your family reside in the UK, where You are registered on the electoral role and is the one in which You spend most time. Partner Means Your spouse or someone of either sex with whom You have a permanent relationship, and who also lives with You at Your home. Period of Insurance Means the period for which We have accepted the premium as stated in Your policy document. We/Us/Our Means AmTrust International Underwriters Limited. You/Your/Insured Person Means the Person (the "Policyholder") whose name appears at the top of Your Cover Schedule. General conditions applicable You must comply with the following conditions to have the full protection of Your policy. 1. The Home Excess Protection policy will continue to respond for the period of the cover or until Your chosen Cover Limit is exhausted; whichever comes first. 2. The Insured Person as stated on the Cover Schedule must match the lead name of the individual on the Home Insurance Policy covering the Main Residence and to which this policy will reimburse the Excess. If one of the main insurance policies covered is in the Partner's name this policy will respond. 3. Only when the amount being claimed under the Home Insurance Policy is greater than the amount of the Excess, and a successful claim is made under the Home Insurance Policy, will this policy respond. If the current and valid Home Insurance Policy is exceeded and following the successful claim payment will this policy respond. 4. In the event that any misrepresentation or concealment is made by You or on Your behalf in obtaining this Insurance or in support of any claim under this Insurance this policy may be voided and no refund of premium will be given. 5. Right of Recovery - We can take proceedings in Your name but at Our expense to recover for Our benefit the amount of any payment made under this policy. 6. Other Insurance - If You were covered by any other insurance for the Excess payable following the incident, which resulted in a valid claim under this policy, We will only pay Our share of the claim. 7. Reasonable Precautions - You must take reasonable steps to safeguard against loss or additional exposure to loss. 6

Keeping to the terms of this policy - We will only give You the cover that is described in this policy if any Person claiming cover has met with all the terms and conditions of the Home Insurance Policy, as far as they apply. 9. Fraudulent Claims - If You make a claim under this policy that is false or fraudulent in any way, the policy will be void and any claim will not be paid. What is not covered (Exclusions) 1. Any claim that Your main Home Insurance Policy does not respond to or where the Excess is not exceeded. 2. A Home Insurance Policy that includes cover for business use. 3. Any claim on the Home Insurance Policy which occurred prior to the Attachment Date of this Insurance as shown on Your Cover Schedule. 4. Any claim notified to Us more than 31 days following the settlement of Your claim by Your main Home Insurance Policy insurer. 5. Where the property concerned is not Your Main Residence. 6. Any contribution or deduction from the settlement of Your claim against Your main Home Insurance Policy other than the stated Excess, for which You have been made liable. 7. Any liability You accept by agreement or contract, unless You would have been liable anyway. Claims Making a claim: Should You wish to claim under this policy, You should go to: You will be able to complete the claim form online. You will then receive Your claim number and a list of documents You are required to return. Please post a copy of the claim form You completed online with all the required documentation to: Business & Domestic Administration Department Excess Protection Claims Warranty House Savile Street East, Don Valley, Sheffieled, S4 7UQ If You do not have access to the internet please call the Claims Administrator on The Claims Administrator will register Your claim. They will send an acknowledgement letter with a claim form for You to complete. This correspondence will include a list of documents required to support Your claim. Please post a copy of this acknowledgement, the completed claim form and all supporting documentation to the above address. 7

We will share the information You provide, together with other information, only with other Motorway Direct Plc group companies. We will use this for administration and customer service purposes only. We will disclose Your information to the Insurer, Our service providers and agents for these purposes. We may keep Your information for a reasonable period to contact You. When You have given Us information about another Person, You confirm that they have authorised You to act for them, to consent to the processing and use of their personal data in the manner described in this notice and to receive on their behalf any data protection notice. You have the right to ask for a copy of Your information (for which We will charge a small fee) and to correct any inaccuracies. Sensitive data If You have given Us consent to use Your sensitive personal data, it will only be processed in order to provide the service requested. 8
