3 PERSON SPECIFICATION Marketing Assistant AREA ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE Evidence Qualifications To be educated to at least GCSE level Degree level education Application Professional Development Evidence of continuing professional development Experience Experience of providing a comprehensive, professional service, including meeting and greeting visitors, answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries. Experience of working within a school environment would be advantageous Experience of the relevant tasks required within the job description. Experience of use of database systems Excellent Telephone manner: pleasant, approachable Knowledge and Skills Ability to use systems in place in logging all enquiries regarding applications to the school. Strives for excellence in all aspects of work Clear and concise communication skills - attention to detail Experience in Photoshop / Gimp Photography skills Good communication and interpersonal skills; especially when liaising with parents, staff and pupils. 4 Job Description Part Time Marketing Assistant The core purpose of this post is to provide assistance in the Marketing and recruitment of the School. The post holder would be expected to liaise with staff at all levels as well as parents, visitors, and external agencies. The post holder will play a full part in the life of the school community, implementing our vision, mission and ethos, and encouraging staff and students to do likewise. Specific Responsibilities of this post are To continuously find new ways to improve the website visually and technically for a better user experience To maintain and update the website on a daily basis To take charge of Social Media channels and to source content, ensuring that all uploaded tweets are to a high standard Present a positive corporate image of yourself and the school To ensure the School itself markets and presents in the best way possible (overseeing displays etc around School) To ensure the Content Management System is updated and maintained with all enquiries and registrations Duties will include: To network with the website hosting agency with new ideas and website amendments An eagerness to learn and develop technical IT skills in order to enhance and make recommendations to improve the website. To use Google Analytics for statistical analysis of user trends and usage. To maintain the Digital Screens, uploading new photographs and notices on a weekly basis To find new ways to market the school to increase recruitment of local and international students To network with internal and external individuals to organise Career and Higher Education presentations. To assist the Marketing Manager with developing the hiring of the premises and organising events with external hirers To develop and maintain a database of contacts of all local prep schools Professional, frequent and personal contact with all enquirers To assist the Registrar in tours of the Junior and Senior School To plan and take charge of creating the School s mobile app To source content and to assist in creating an annual magazine To assist the Marketing Manager and Registrar in all areas of marketing as and when required General administration duties including, but not limited to; filing, data inputting, marketing mailshot distribution, assisting with Reception duties Seek out additional duties during quiet periods
