13 DIXI 1730 and The process 1: 2: The workpiece is positionned in front of the tool wich is rotating at high speed. The tool is introduced into the workpiece by the sliding of the headstock which drives the workpiece. s s 3: The part rotates slowly, either in the direction of the tool or opposing direction, depending on the type of thread (left pitch/right pitch). The tool, witch is conveyed by a numeric axis penetrates into the material of the revolving part by lateral displacement.
