Together we can make Over the Edge for Brain Cancer the most spectacular event of its kind! Over the Edge for Brain Cancer is an exhilarating event in which participants or edgers commit to a fundraising minimum in exchange for the opportunity of a lifetime to rappel down the tallest building on the San Diego Skyline,! It s time to take the fight against brain cancer to new heights 365 ft to be exact. Join us on October 16th & 17th as our brave edgers go Over the Edge for Brain Cancer and get us one step closer to a cure. Unlike traditional nonprofit events that have limited exposure opportunities to offer their sponsors, Over the Edge for Brain Cancer offers the opportunity to reach a broad audience through local media, social media, web banners, live interviews and promotional spots. No matter your budget, we are eager to work with you to customize a sponsorship package that will meet your needs and provide valuable exposure and/or employee involvement opportunities. In addition to underwriting opportunities, we are also looking for inkind partners in the area of media, food and beverage, event supplies and signage. The Facts Brain cancer is an aggressive disease that doesn t receive the attention it deserves, which leads to a dangerous lack in awareness and funding. Brain cancer is: >the leading cause of solid tumor cancer deaths among children and young adults. >extremely heterogenous, with 120 different types of tumors, all of which have unknown causes. >NOT as rare as you might think. Today there are more than 600,000 people in the US living with a brain tumor diagnosis and another 66,000 new diagnosis are expected this year. Despite low survival rates, only four brain tumor treatments have been approved by the FDA in the last 40 years. We must do what s necessary to bring additional attention to this disease and increase vital research funding! Brain cancer is one of the deadliest diseases we face and we cannot afford to be satisfied with limited treatment options and dismal survival rates. We must take this fight to new heights!
