The research funded by the National Institute for Nursing Research- Maternal Role Sufficiency: Predictors and Interventions. This five-year study examined the relationships between selected prenatal variables and (1) infant birth outcomes and (2) maternal/infant relationship at four and eight months of infant age, between two groups of low income women, Hispanic and non-immigrant, non-hispanic. The study used the "Home and Teaching Scales" of the NCAST tools. Responsibility for home visits to collect data.
