1 KY COVID-19 Daily Summary 10/26/2020 Total Cases* 97,866 Total New Cases Today 953 Confirmed 82,892 Total New Deaths Today 3 Probable 14,974 Total Deaths* 1,410 Confirmed 1,391 Probable 19 Duplicates Removed** 29 *Total cases and deaths include both confirmed and probable. **This number reflects duplicate cases and patients that did not meet case definition for confirmed cases. COVID19 Outcomes Number Percent Number of patients Ever Hospitalized 6, % Number of patients Ever in the ICU 1, % Number of patients who have Recovered 17, % Current Patient Disposition Total Hospitalized 858 ICU 253 1,809,871 82,558 45,138 1,937,567 Total PCR Tests Total Serology Tests Total Antigen Tests Total Number of Tests COVID-19 Testing Positivity Rate: 5.84%* *Based on a 7-day rolling average. Timing of reporting overall lab results versus positives, repeat testing of individuals, duplicate entries and lack of reporting by some labs, make the data imprecise and more appropriate or useful for trending. The data collected by the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH) on case patients comes from a number of sources, including electronic laboratory reports, provider case disease and COVID-19 investigation reports, local health department investigation results, hospital infection prevention clinical patient data, and KDPH investigation results. Data is often found incomplete and/or incorrect and during KDPH investigation individual patientlevel data is added to, corrected, and de-duplicated so that overall case counts and aggregate data values change daily.
