Each area of study offers exciting and varied career prospects to graduates, whether they wish to work in local businesses or travel abroad to different organisations overseas. The courses appeal to people with an interest in how law impacts our everyday lives, how sports studies and coaching can transform health performance, and how learning languages and transferable skills can open pathways to many different career opportunities. 85

Career opportunities Careers in the sports, leisure and fitness sectors. Interested in a career as a corporate lawyer? Curious about children s rights? This exciting programme allows you to combine the study of a law degree with criminal justice or a language. You will also have the opportunity for work placement or a stint in our in-house law advice clinic. If you are interested in the study of crime, criminology, understanding conflict and discrimination then the criminal justice minor will provide a gateway to a wide range of exciting careers. You may choose instead to combine your law degree with the study of a language. We offer Irish from post leaving certificate level and French, Spanish or German from beginner level. Students also have the opportunity to study abroad at one of our partner institutions for one semester. This course is a three-year honours law degree. The course has approved degree status with King s Inns and qualifying law degree status with the Institute of Professional Studies (Northern Ireland). This is a multi-disciplinary course. Learners study how the principles of marketing and marketing research relate to the sports and leisure industry. Do you have a love of sport? Do you have a passion for sports coaching and performance? This four year honours programme focuses on sports coaching and performance across the spectrum from beginner to competitor levels. You will specialise in your chosen area of coaching; for example GAA, soccer or athletics and work in conjunction with the national governing bodies to progress through the relevant coaching stages. You will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the physiological aspects of training and exercise, diagnostic and analytical skills related to performance, and applied psychological and dietary influences on athlete preparation.
