Cloud computing is the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices as a utility (like the electricity grid) over a network (typically the Internet). Cloud computing can be public or private or a hybrid. Microsoft s first foray into cloud computing was Windows Updates with the release of Windows 95 and IE4. More profound in 98. Almost everyone that has a device connected to the Internet is using some form of Cloud Computing.
