2 UX, Media, Writing & Graphic Design Provided photography, UX and graphic design for the medical school s existing websites, as well as media and design for the new websites in transition. Wrote promotional, marketing and editorial copy for department websites, management summaries, department reports and SEO analysis papers. Designed new information hierarchies and navigation schemes, mapped out improved content structures for a superior user experience, more accessible site content and higher quality design and media standards. Applied my experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Drupal 7, updating the existing websites and creating the new websites and digital media. Directed, shot and edited digital photography of faculty, events, for online articles, announcements, biographies, digital publications and image effects. Developed improved visual cues to site visitors, calls-to-action, site navigation, layout, features, graphic elements and photography in department websites. Designed and managed the development of special website features to meet the priority needs of different departments through new, custom Drupal "nodes". Brainstormed concepts with other creative team members to develop improved, innovative digital communications strategies. Designed strategies to focus site visitor attention on pivotal touch points in department websites and performed ongoing analysis of their effectiveness. Benefits and End Result: University of Minnesota Medical School All eight medical school websites and their content were completed and launched prior to their due date in the Drupal 7 system. All previously existing websites experienced quality service and stability, and were updated, edited and maintained well during the transition. The process created an online website request and ticketing system, new photography for all faculty, the Meet Our residents prototype, archival backups. of existing website data and media and many other benefits. Managed the development of the application s front end, data collection and the randomization of incoming student data, as well as it s presentation, verification of it s functionality and the random placement of the proper number of students in the limited number of openings at the FAIR Magnet Schools. Managed the overall project, personnel and technical aspects, verified and launched the digital system, working with and reporting directly to the administrative committee representing thirteen school districts. The accessibility aspect saved time for students, parents and support staff.
