3 TEN LIVE UNDERSTAND THE RESOURCING CHALLENGES FACING THE OIL & GAS INDUSTRY IN AUSTRALIA IN 2013 AND BEYOND Ten Live understand the constant market changes which can lead to a skills gap in the local workforce. Our global resourcing and recruitment programmes are specifically designed to help you resolve these challenges through the identification of skilled workers in different geographic territories and provide a support and service structure that facilitates the smooth relocation of skilled workers. MARKET UNDERSTANDING OIL & GAS AUSTRALIA Our marketing team undertake thorough research of the markets we operate in to fully understand market dynamics and needs. We recognise that the current booming oil & gas industry and the huge investments planned for oil & gas projects in Australia in the future, particularly in Western Australia, will further tighten labour markets in an already limited resource pool and this will require vast increases in skilled resources (see Appendix 1). Due to the sheer size of current oil and gas projects and others due to come online shortly, particularly in Western Australia, we are aware of the severe shortage of skilled resource and the battle to retain and recruit skilled staff in a marketplace where skilled workers are at a premium and employers must pay a premium to retain and attract them. For example, we are aware that; There will be an immediate resourcing challenge in the construction space with a peak of 250,000 people required between 2013 and 2015, a vast increase on the 75,000 currently employed in the sector. Even by the second half of 2013, the construction demand is expected to have doubled. Acute shortages will be felt in the following disciplines: Structural Fitters and Welders, Mechanical Fitters, Electricians, Fixed and Mobile Plant Operators, Structural Steel Fixers, Motor Mechanics, Crane Operators, Carpenters, Concreters (1). HSE Advisors and Contracts Specialists, Subsea Engineers, Subsea Fitters and Flow Assurance Engineers remain in high demand due to their specialist and niche skill sets and that as projects move from the design to construction and operational phases there will be an increased demand for operators, technicians and engineers, particularly those with LNG experience (2). Mammoth long-term projects such as Chevron s Gorgon Project will create up to 10,000 direct and indirect jobs at peak construction (3). If we look at current recruitment for the Gorgon project this covers maintenance and production staff (3) and Gorgon s twenty contractors are currently recruiting for a large number of workers, ranging from skilled, semi-skilled to unskilled, from white collar to blue collar workers, from construction to production, operation and maintenance including; marine Scientists, environmental scientists & engineers, commercial engineers, surveyors, project managers, logistics advisors, HSE/quality inspectors construction engineers and managers, marine crew, plant operators, admin support, riggers, tradespeople such as welders, fitters, plumbers, painters, electricians, warehouse staff, cleaners and drivers (4). STRATEGY MANAGEMENT As a first step in our resource management process we work in partnership with Energy employers to fully understand their needs. We will research and analyse your organisation to identify your unique selling points, competition, market sector and positioning. We will then hold tailored workshops to familiarise ourselves with your company values, targets and procedures, your capabilities, and your skill gaps. Based on the information gathered, Ten Live will create a bespoke strategy aimed at resolving your skills and resource gap, which will include a Project Management System with allocated T&Os and Development Plans to assist with succession planning.

TALENT MANAGEMENT Once we have created a personalised manpower strategy for your company, we will apply our rigorous talent management approach to find the right employees for you and place them, whether you require permanent or contractor Energy staff. Our Talent Management procedure goes through six stages: Resource talent by advertising locally and globally, pre-screening, and matching job description and person specifications. Identify talent through interviews and skills assessment. Through our legal contract manpower tool, we transfer permanent placements direct to customer, place temporary PAYE contractors, UK and international umbrella and self-employed contractors. Assist with relocation (if needed) we support applicants with everything needed in the relocation process, including medical checks, physician reports, police reports and family settlement. We can also assist with visa applications if the candidate is from the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia or the Pacific. We help our clients face the resourcing challenges in a dynamic global marketplace, ensuring that our Energy sector recruitment specialists not only source the right person for the role, but are on hand every step of the way to help candidates relocate internationally. 8 APPENDIX 1 : THE OIL & GAS INDUSTRY AUSTRALIA BRIEF MARKET OVERVIEW The oil and gas industry in Australia a huge growth market Ten Live recognise the oil and gas industry in Australia (production revenue) is set to continue to grow in the current decade at a pace, particularly in the gas industry; The oil and gas industry in Australia s production industry revenue has been growing at an annualised 3.5% over the five years from 2008 to 2013, to reach $40.7 billion. Industry revenue is forecast to increase by 13.2% in on the back of higher oil prices and increased natural gas output. Crude oil output is expected to increase slightly. Oil and Gas Production in Australia Nov 2012 Furthermore, we are aware that the oil and gas industry in Australia has undergone an unprecedented phase of investment in recent years and this is set to continue over the next few years ; A report released in 2012 by the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) showed that more than $29 billion has been spent with Australian based businesses as part of a current wave of investment underway in offshore oil and gas projects, particularly in Western Australia, for example Gas-Q /); The Gorgon Project, a $43 billion Australian Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project by joint partners Chevron, ExxonMobil and Shell and also the Wheatstone Project, value $29billion The Browse and Pluto projects operated by Woodside at values of $27billion and $14.9billion The Ichthys project operated by Inpex at a value of $34billion Australia Subsea Report, SDI 2012 In March 2012 Australia had a total of 456 mining, oil and gas projects in the construction pipeline with 272 of those already committed and/or under construction with a combined value of $424b. A further 184 mining, oil and gas projects are in the pipeline awaiting Final Investment Decision. Australia Subsea Report, SDI 2012 The gas industry in Australia future opportunities Our research shows us that Australia is on track to become the world s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter in the latter half of the current decade, surpassing Qatar as a series of major projects enter service and LNG production and exports are expected to increase significantly over the coming year with abundant reserves in Queensland and New South Wales ; The boom in construction of LNG export capacity is likely to drive investment over the coming years, with as much as US$200bn to be spent on up to 18 new schemes or project expansion projects. Gas exports are forecast to rise to 62bcm by 2016, bringing in potential LNG revenues of around US$30.49bn. Conventional gas and vast volumes of newly-discovered Coal bed methane (CBM) or coal seam gas (CSG) as it is known in Australia (particularly to be found in the east of the country), can underpin the majority of planned gas export schemes.
