(Senior Certificate) AND 24 insurance credits at NQF 4, OR IISA s ICiBS 2007 UNISA Programmes Special Interim Arrangements: Admission Exam for admission to the Level 5 Programmes Introduction to - Short-Term/Long Term Insurance/ Retirement Funds NB This is a non-credit bearing exam If, You do not have the 24 NQF 4 insurance credits, or ICiBS But, you must have Matric/Senior Certificate (ie may study at UNISA s CBM) 2007 Admission Options New Student now has a choice: Do CoP and ICiBS, or similar then come to UNISA or Sit the Admission Test/Exam start with UNISA immediately Deciding factor likely to be level of experiential learning (workplace experience) and/or education/maturity. 4 UNISA Programmes General Certification at UNISA certificate ceremony eligible for Licentiate/Associateship Certification includes IISA credits if submitted/recorded via Academic Extract Formal occasion (black gown, but no paste board, or ribbons) Performance details to IISA for annual Conference and prizes (if applicable) Fellowship Programme Former ADiIM unacceptable to UNISA Final exams held by Col in September 2006 Planning Post Grad Dip in Financial Services Possibly only 2009 or later with IoB Programme Student can/should consider UNISA s Advanced Programme in Risk Management (7158-7) by Prof Gawie du Toit Two-year programme Dissertation would still be a requirement UNISA Method of Instruction Distance Learning Allows student to pace him/herself Instruction medium English, but assignments and exams may be answered in Afrikaans One compulsory assignment for admission to examination Examination at one of 517 UNISA exam centres worldwide UNISA Duration of Programme/Module Annual Programme Allows students to enrol/register annually 15 November to 28 February Programme officially starts on 01 March Examinations annually in October/November Supplementary examinations in May NB If not completed during the registered year, student must apply for re-registration at full fees and possibly new study material.
