2 Ted Ryan, MBA, RN, EMT-P (ret) SYSTEM DIRECTOR MINISTRY SPIRIT MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION (715) CANDIDATE FOR REGION III BOARD OF DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION OF AIR MEDICAL SERVICES STATEMENT OF GOALS I started my career as a paramedic in public service working my way up the ranks, into the hospital setting first as a flight nurse/paramedic, then into hospital administration. Over the course of 20+ years I have provided leadership in multitude hospital settings, including emergency, general surgery, cardiology, vascular, emergency medical services and air/ground medical transportation. After speaking with several of my peers in Region III, I was concerned that several services have not renewed their AAMS membership. The reason for this varies, but is it clear there is lack of communication and shared vision. As the Region III AAMS Board Representative my primary focus will be to ensure that the board hears and acts on concerns and suggestions that are forwarded by its members. To do this, I will rely on my skills in negotiation and problem resolution, thus building long-term relationships with all stakeholders. I am committed to initiate and maintain frequent communication with leadership of the services in Region III. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE MINISTRY HEALTH CARE; CENTRAL, WI (2013 to Present) System Director of Ministry Spirit Medical Transportation SAINT ALPHONSUS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER; BOISE, ID (1986 to 2013) At Saint Alphonsus, I served in numerous progressive leadership roles including: Flight Nurse/Paramedic Life Flight Coordinator Director of Emergency Services & Life Flight Service Line and Operations Director of Emergency Services Operations & Service Line Director for Emergency, Cardiac, Vascular & General Surgery Services BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY; BOISE, ID ( ) Paramedic Program Director/Paramedic Program Consultant PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS (CURRENT AND PAST) Wisconsin North Central Regional Trauma Advisory Council, Executive Committee Board of Directors, Ada County Faces Family Justice Center (Boise, ID) Ada County EMS Advisory Board (Boise, ID) Member, American College of Healthcare Executives Idaho State University Paramedic Program Advisory Board (Boise, ID) Statewide EMS Taskforce to rewrite Statewide EMS Legislation on EMS Districts (Boise, ID) Vice President, Association of Air Medical Membership Programs (Portland, OR) East Boise County Ambulance District Advisory Board (Idaho) Customer Advisory Board, Air Methods Corporation Idaho Statewide EMS Taskforce to re-write Statewide EMS Legislation for EMS Districts (Boise, ID) Ada County EMS Task Force to Explore Consolidation of Fire and EMS Services (Boise, ID) Appointed to Ada County EMS Physicians Advisory of Continuing Education Committee (Boise, ID) Adjunct Graduate Faculty in the Master of Health Science Program, Boise State University (Boise, ID)
