Viideo--Enhanced On--lliine Posttgraduatte Applliicattiion,, Admiissiion and Enrollmentt Procedure Course Duration, Tutorials and Assessments 20--Week Viideo--Enhanced Possttgraduatte Diiplloma Coursse Many potential students are terrified at the usual duration and non-interactive nature of online courses. Not only have we enhanced our on-line courses but, responding to popular demand for early completion, we have now launched the 20-Week Video-Enhanced Postgraduate Diploma Course Delivery. This Accelerated Programme is based on a 3 hours per day, 6 days per week basis, amounting to the required 360 Credit Hours. This applies to all Programmes. Students are taught as individuals, on a one-to-one or one-to-small-group basis. They see their tutor face to-face for the duration of their course; They interact with the tutor, ask and address questions; and they sit examinations in the presence of the tutor. It is as real as any face-to-face lecture and seminar are concerned. In line with this new pattern of delivery, the Credit Value and Credit Hours examples of Diploma Postgraduate Courses are as follows: Crediitt--Vallue Crediitt--Hours Single-Credit Double-Credit Treble-Credit Quad-Credit Credit (X36 Credit-Hours) to 12-Credit (X30 Credit- 360 Hours) P. 3

Other Credit Values are calculated proportionately. Students might like to negotiate a longer delivery time with their tutors; The summative assessment will constitute at least three separate elements for each Credit Level (i.e. each Diploma - Postgraduate Level), scaling to at least 12 summative assessments for Postgraduate Diploma; Additional assistance will be provided to improve the student's chances of an eventual pass, in the event of an assessment that falls below the 70% mark and a resit of the assessment component is necessary and advisable. Video-Enhanced Online Application Requirement: Applicants are advised to send the following documents: Completed Video-Enhanced Postgraduate Application Form, including a passport sized picture of the applicant. This form is downloadable from: Brochures_Seminar_Schedule.htm Copy of Issue and photo page (bio -data) of your current passport or copy of the applicant s National Identity Card, if it has your photograph incorporated. Two recent References, at least one of which should be academic from his/ her University or College What Happens Next? On receipt of all the above documents we will make an assessment of the applicant s suitability for the Programme for which he or she applied. If accepted on the Programme, he or she will be notified accordingly and sent an Admission and Enrolment Confirmation Letter and Invoice. One week after the receipt of the applicant s payment or official notification of payment, a Tutor will contact him or her, by or telephone, welcoming him or P. 4

her to the Programme and officially commencing his or her study or notifying of a start date. Subsequent Course Registration Once registered for one course, subsequent course registration is straightforward When the student has notified us, by , of his or her intention to register for another course, we will send you your Admission and Enrolment Confirmation Letter and Invoice. One week after the receipt of fee payment, or official notification of your payment, similar to the above procedure, his or her Tutor will contact him or her, by or telephone, welcoming him or her to the Programme and officially commencing the new course or notifying him or her of a start date. Continuous Registration for Postgraduate Diploma and Masters Degree MA, MSc, MBA, Executive MBA Prospective students might register for a Full Postgraduate Diploma, progressing to a Masters Degree, in the first instance. This will represent a continuous registration, incorporating the different courses, and, or, modules. P. 5

Synopsis of Diploma Postgraduate, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Degree Regulation Possttgrraduattee Diploma and Diploma Possttgrraduattee:: Theei irr Disstti incctti ion and Asssseessssmeentt Reequi irreemeentt Students of Video-Enhanced On-Line Courses of at least 30 Credit Hours, will, on successful assessment, be awarded the Diploma Postgraduate. This means a Single Credit at Postgraduate Level. A Single-Credit Postgraduate Course may have a value of up to 54 Credit Hours, while a Double Credit course has Credit Hours, etc. Because of the intensive nature of our courses and programmes, assessment will largely be in-course, adopting differing formats. These assessment formats include, but not limited to, inclass tests, assignments, end of course examinations. Based on these assessments, successful candidates will receive the Diploma Postgraduate, or Postgraduate Diploma, as appropriate. In the case of Diploma Postgraduate, a minimum of 70% overall pass is expected. In order to receive the Award of Postgraduate Diploma, candidate must have accumulated at least the required minimum Credit-Hours, with a pass (of 70% and above) in at least 70% of the courses taken. Students who fail to achieve the requirement for Postgraduate Diploma, or Diploma - Postgraduate - will be given support for 2 resubmissions for each course. Those students who fail to achieve the assessment requirement for the Postgraduate Diploma or Diploma - Postgraduate - on 2 resubmissions, or those who elect not to receive these Awards, will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance and Participation. P. 6

Cumulatti ivee Possttgrraduattee Diploma Courrsseess All short courses can accumulate to the required Credit Hours, for the Postgraduate Diploma, over a six-year period, from the first registration, and applies to both general and specialist groupings. In this regard, it is important to note that short courses vary in length, the minimum being 30 Credit Hours, representing one credit. Twelve Credits or the equivalent of 360 Credit Hours are, therefore, required for the Award of Postgraduate Diploma. A 36 Credit-Hour Course (Diploma Postgraduate), equivalent to 36 Credit Hours, represents one Credit. Ten courses, of similar Credit-Value, equate to the required 360 Credit-Hours, earning the Award of Postgraduate Diploma. The Award requirement is based on the number of hours studied (aggregate Credit-Hours), rather than merely the Credit-Value (the number of accumulative credits). This approach is particularly useful when a student studies a mixture of courses of different credit-values. For those students choosing the accumulative route, it is advisable that at least two credits be attempted per year. This will ensure that the required number of Credit Hours for the Postgraduate diploma is achieved within the six-year time frame. P. 7
