2 Device Management 1.1 debug devsm Command: debug devsm { send receive state } slot <slotno> no debug devsm {send receive state } slot <slotno> Function: Displays the device management packet traffic and cards status conditions. The no debug devsm {send receive state } command disables DEBUG display. Parameters: send displays outgoing device management packets. receive displays incoming device management packets. state displays card status change information. <slotno> is the number of the slot where the boardcard is, the value is 1, 2,, M1, M2. Default: Debugging information is disabled by default. 1.2 force runcfg-sync Command: force runcfg-sync Function: Enforce the synchronizing running-config from active master to standby master. Command Mode: Admin Mode. Usage Guide: When the running-config varies from the startup-configure, this command synchronizes running-configure from active master to standby master, so that the new running-config will be used as restoration when performing the switchover. 1.3 force switchover Command: force switchover Function: Enforce the active master switched to standby master. Command Mode: Admin Mode. Usage Guide: When standby master exits, if this command is executed on active master 1-1
3 will trigger the switchover, and the former standby master will become the new active master. 1.4 reset slot Command: reset slot <slotno> Function: Resets specified card. Parameters: <slotno> is the slot number, or the card located in that slot, ranging between 1~8 for 8 slots device or 1~16 for 16 slots device. Usage Guide: This command can reset all line cards and Standby Master board, but not the Active Master board. 1.5 runcfg-sync Command: runcfg-sync [<interval>] Function: Configure the running-config synchronous interval. Parameter: <interval> is the synchronous time interval which is shown in minutes and ranges from 5 to 1440 or 0, in which 0 refers to the auto synchronization function is disabled, no parameter followed refers to enabled running-config synchronizing function. When the configuration file changes, default synchronization interval is 5 minutes. Command Mode: Global Mode. Default: Auto synchronization function enabled by default and checks the configuration to synchronize in every 5 minutes. Usage Guide: This command is for configuring the interval between which the active master synchronizes the running-config to standby master regularly. Undersized interval configuration will result in unnecessary load to the switch. The auto synchronization function is recommended to be disabled if the configuration is stable or will be saved with write command after changes take place. Example: Set the running-config synchronization interval to 1440 minutes. Switch(config)#runcfg-sync show fan Command: show fan Function: Display information of the fan: position, revolving speed and etc. Parameters: None. 1-2
4 Default: None Usage Guide: This command displays the information of the fan: position, revolving speed and etc. Inserted means whether the fan is in position; Status means whether the operation is normal; Speed shows the revolving speed level of the fan: Low, Middle or High. Example: Switch # show fan System fan information: Fan No Inserted Status Speed 1 YES Normal Medium 1.7 show power Command: show power Function: Display the power information. Parameters: None. Default: None.
