2 MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES No AMENDMENT OF REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE FEES PAYABLE TO AND BY THE PHARMACY BOARD: PHARMACY PROFESSION ACT, 1993 The Minister of Health and Social Services has, under section 51(1) of the Pharmacy Profession Act, 1993 (Act No. 23 of 1993), and on the recommendation of the Pharmacy Board, made the regulations set out in the Schedule. Definitions SCHEDULE 1. In these regulations, the Regulations means the regulations relating to the fees payable to and by the Pharmacy Board promulgated by Government Notice No. 120 of 24 May Amendment of Regulation 2 of the Regulations 2. The Regulations are amended by the substitution for Regulation 2 of the following: 2. Fees payable to the Pharmacy Board: (a) by a pharmacy student in respect of - (iv) registration as a pharmacy student as prescribed by regulation under section 51(1)(e), payable on or before 31 March of the year of registration: N$ 34,50 late registration, if payment is received after the date for payment determined by subparagraph, in addition to the amount determined by that subparagraph: N$ 23,00 the restoration of his or her name to the register (section 15): N$ 34,50 the issue of a duplicate registration certificate or a certified extract from a register (section 17): N$ 11,50 (b) by a pharmacist intern in respect of - registration as a pharmacist intern, payable upon registration (section 13 and 23): N$ 460,00 the transfer of internship from one pharmacist to another pharmacist, payable upon the lodging of the contract of training with the Board (section 23): N$ 230,00 the restoration of his or her name to the register (section 15): N$ 57,50 (c) by a pharmacist s assistant or by a pharmaceutical technician, as the case may be, in respect of - registration as a pharmacist s assistant or as a pharmaceutical technician, as the case may be, payable upon registration (sections 13 or 24): N$ 345,00 conditional registration as a pharmacist s assistant or as a pharmaceutical technician, as the case may be (section 19): N$ 345,00
3 issuing of registration certificate replacing a conditional registration certificate (section 20): N$ 230,00 (iv) (v) (vi) (vii) restoration of his or her name to the register (section 15): N$ 57,50 entrance fee for an in-service training course prescribed under section 23(2)(a) as a requirement for registration: N$ 165,00 entrance fee for a written examination in respect of a training course referred to in subparagraph (v) (per paper): N$ 60,00 entrance fee for an oral examination in respect of a training course referred to in subparagraph (v) (per hour or part of an hour): N$ 60,00 (d) by a pharmacist in respect of - registration as a pharmacist, payable upon registration (section 13): N$ 920,00 conditional registration as a pharmacist, payable upon registration (section 19): N$ 920,00 issuing of a registration certificate replacing a conditional registration certificate (section 20): N$ 230,00 (iv) restoration of his or her name to the register (section 15) - (aa) after removal under section 15(1)(a), (c) or (e): N$ 230,00 (bb) after removal under section 15(1)(b) or (d): N$1 150,00 (cc) after removal under section 37(1)(c): N$1 150,00 (v) registration of an additional qualification (section 28): N$ 230,00 (vi) registration of a speciality (section 28): N$ 920,00 (vii) the issue of a duplicate registration certificate or a certified extract from a register (section 17): N$ 230,00 (e) by a body corporate referred to in section 25, carrying on business as a pharmacist, in respect of - registration of a body corporate: N$1 725,00 registration of the managing director of the body corporate: N$ 115,00 if the body corporate changes it s name, the issue of a new registration certificate - (aa) to the body corporate: N$ 230,00 (bb) to the managing director: N$ 230,00 (f) (g) by the owner of a pharmacy for the registration of a pharmacy in accordance with regulations made under section 51(1)(c): N$ 115,00 by a person for purposes of educational demonstrations (section 21): N$ 200,00
4 (h) by a person for purposes of post-graduate studies (section 22): N$ 100,00 by a person in respect of an examination conducted by the Board under any provision of the Act, excluding an examination referred to in paragraph (c), payable before commencement of the examination - an oral examination, per hour or part of an hour: N$ 300,00 a written examination, per 100 words or part of 100 words of each examination paper: N$ 300,00 (j) (k) by a person in respect of a certificate issued by the Board relating to any prescribed course or examination conducted by or on behalf of the Board successfully completed by such person, excluding an examination referred to in paragraph (c): N$ 150,00 by the owner of a pharmacy where a pharmacist intern or pharmacist s assistant is receiving training, in respect of the inspection of the pharmacy by or on behalf of the Board: N$ 287,00 General Notice MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES No TARIFF OF FEES, WHICH REGISTERED HOMOEOPATHS MAY CHARGE FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RENDERED: ALLIED HEALTH SERVICES PROFESSIONS ACT, 1993 The Namibia Homoeopathic Board has under section 39 of the Allied Health Services Professions Act, 1993 (Act No. 20 of 1993), after consultation with the Council for Health and Social Services Professions and with the approval of the Minister of Health and Social Services - (a) determined the tariff of fees, chargeable by a registered homoeopath in respect of professional services rendered by him or her in the practice of such profession under that Act, as set out in the Schedule; and (b) repealed General Notice No. 43 of 28 February SECRETARY OF THE NAMIBIA HOMOEOPATHIC BOARD SCHEDULE Code Consultation Tariff Constitutional N$3,20 per minute Initial N$ per 30 minutes /2 Subsequent Acute disease N$80.00 per 30 minutes N$80.00 per 30 minutes 08001/2 After hours N$80.00 per 30 minutes + 50% of the relevant tariff during the week or N$80.00 per 30 minutes + 100% of the relevant tariff during weekends and public holidays
