1 28 August 2014 Re: Invitation to Okinawa Tourism Investment Seminar and Cocktail Reception hosted by the Government of Okinawa Dear Sir/Madam, It is my great pleasure to welcome economic leaders, corporate and private investors in Singapore to upcoming Okinawa Tourism Investment Seminar at the St Regis Singapore John Jacob 1 (29 Tanglin Road) from 16:30 to 18:30 on 10th September 2014 as well as a cocktail reception followed by the event. Okinawa, the Japan next door from Singapore, is well known as a new travel destination where receive 6 million tourists every year from Japan and other countries. According to latest statistics, the number of direct flight from major capital of Asia to Okinawa had increased from 49 flights per week in 2012 to 77 in 2013 (Growth rate: 57%). Although Okinawa is still unknown paradise for international market, it has a great potential for dramatic growth in near future. On 25 March this year, Okinawa Prefectural Government and Changi Airport Group had signed MOU to expand economic exchange through international tourism and trade flows. As our achievement of MOU with CAG, we have successfully introduced ANA Cargo direct services (6 flights per week) from May this year as well as Silk Air and Jetstar direct charter flights from September to December this year. (14 flights in total) Seeing this positive signs of network development as a great timing to start Okinawa promotion, I decided to send our Vice Governor Mr Kawakami Yoshihisa and Okinawa business leaders (total 50 pax) to Singapore from 9-13 September. Atsushi Murai Senior Vice President, Investment Sales Hotels & Hospitality Group Jones Lang LaSalle Current Responsibilities Atsushi Murai is Senior Vice President in Singapore. Atsushi is responsible for investment sales, especially focusing cross-border transactions between Japan and Asian countries. Experience Prior to Atsushi s relocation to Singapore in 2013, he was based in Tokyo, Japan since August He was involved in a variety of assignments including valuations, feasibility studies, contract negotiation and investment sales both in and outside Japan. Atsushi became Senior Vice President in Jan He spent one year in JLLH&H Los Angeles office in 2006 as part of the company s staff exchange program. During the program, he was involved in investment sales of Japanese owned resort hotels in the USA as well as valuations of casino resort developments in the Caribbean Islands.
