8 Hardwired motion logger attached to rigid section of BOP or LMRP whilst topside Logger wired to ROV connector plate using subsea cable Guide wire 1 BOP installed using 4 guidewires After installation one guidewire (guidewire 1) remains in place Subsea cable ROV connector plate Hardwired motion logger

9 Subsea cable strapped to guide wire 2 lowered along guide wire 1 The guidewire is hooked onto the pre installed steel rope loop ROV plugs the connector into the ROV connector plate The monitoring system is now fully operational with BOP motions visible in real time from the rig Guide wire 2 hooked to LMRP Subsea cable plugged into ROV connector plate
