TONY BLAIR, WAR CRIMINAL David C F Wright, PhD The invasion and occupancy of Iraq by the UK and the USA was illegal. There is absolutely no doubt that the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, misled MPs and the public. He said that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction which could be used against the British within 45 minutes. He had previously promised throughout the whole of 2002 that Britain's only objective was disarmament of Iraq and not a regime change and that there was no intention to employ military action. But, in fact, since February 2002 the British military were planning a full invasion and a regime change which, of course, would mean getting rid of Saddam Hussein. Blair was lying to us. The concealment of the preparation of war certainly lead to rushing through the intended operation which meant that military personnel going to Iraq were inadequately prepared and seriously lacking in equipment, protective uniforms, ammunition and medical supplies. The blame for this can only be laid at the door of Blair and the few who were in his confidence. Some soldiers went into Iraq with only five bullets as their total ammunition. The lack of resources meant that many soldiers went to war on civilian airlines taking their inadequate equipment as hand luggage. Some soldiers had their weapons confiscated by airport security. What a shambles! The essential radio communications in Iraq were ineffective as the heat took the radio off line and communications could not be made at certain times of the day. Further supplies that were received were inadequate and yet one consignments was of skis, hardly suitable in desert warfare. In all these plans for war there was no provision for peace when the conflict was over. Blair was only interested in supporting his friend George Bush in getting rid of Hussein and ensuring that oil supplies were safeguarded to accommodate affluent America. In the aftermath of the war, Blair was accused of sending British troops to war on a deceit In the State of the Union Address in January 2002 George Bush refers to Iraq as one of the three states that were an axis of evil and said that he would not stand by since the peril grew closer and closer. He had clearly made up his mind to invade Iraq and had influenced his friend Blair as America's greatest friend and ally. By the time Blair gave his denial of Britain's military action in Iraq, plans for such action had been in force for at least five months. Had the truth about these issues been made known then there would have been an outcry and we may not have gone to a war and lost the innocent lives of many British personnel. His claim that there were no plans for a regime change was a blatant lie as he signed a document with President Bush in Crawford, Texas in April 2002 agreeing to a regime change. Blair was lying. He was deceiving the British people. He was George Bush's poodle. He was planning to send eighteen-year-olds to war and death in an illegal war. Our troops were not prepared as we have said. They had had no training for the heat and terrain of Iraq. And this could not be as Blair wanted to keep his intentions secret and that, in itself, is furtive and certainly not honest. Before the illegal invasion of Iraq there were mass protests in the UK and elsewhere against any military action in Iraq.

Following this war there were several investigations into the war and its legitimacy. The latest which began in November 2009 was headed by Sir John Chilcot, Britain's former ambassador to the UN said that the Iraq war was legal but not legitimate, an utterly stupid thing to say. The word legal means established and permitted by law. The word legitimate means authorised by and in accordance with the law. The words means the same. The word illegal means against the law as does the word illegitimate. It must also be remembered that there was no UN sanction to invade and occupy Iraq. The USA and the UK acted independently of the UN. Bush and Blair put themselves above international law. The Attorney General, Lord Goldsmith, told Blair eight months before the invasion that such an invasion, occupancy and war was illegal. His letter was written in July 2002 telling Blair that deposing Saddam Hussein was a blatant breach of international law. Blair ignored this and issued instructions to gag Goldsmith who was removed from the War Cabinet. Blair concealed Goldsmith's warning from the Cabinet. Goldsmith threatened to resign but was so badly treated that he became ill and lost three stone in weight. He was eventually forced to back the invasion. On 21 July 2005 Jeremy Paxman asked Blair if he sought Foreign Office advice about the war. Blair lied in his reply by saying, No. I took Lord Goldsmith's advice. It cannot be denied that Blair lied to Parliament including his own party and the nation, made false statements, put himself above the law and was tyrannical being unjust and oppressive. Another despicable act was the mistreatment of Dr David Kelly, a scientist of good repute, whom the Labour government revealed as the person who blew the whistle on Blair and his deceit. Kelly was grilled by a government committee and was found dead shortly afterwards. It was claimed that he committed suicide but there is no evidence of this. Kelly was a devoted family man without any suicidal tendencies. Details of his death in a lonely place were not released which makes this matter even more mysterious. His death was not natural causes and almost certainly not suicide. It is said that he cut his wrist with a blunt knife. That, in itself, is ridiculous. At a previous enquiry, Lord Hutton instructed that David Kelly's post mortem results be kept a secret for 70 years. If Dr Kelly took his own life, why keep these details secret? It has be mooted that he was killed by Iraqis, but why? Or murdered under American orders from Dick Cheney. Others have said that MI5 killed him. But for these details to be ordered to be kept secret, indicates something suspicious. The British government does not want us to know the truth. In December 2009 Blair said that even if Iraq did not have weapons of mass destruction he would have found another argument to get rid of Hussein and his sons and go to war in Iraq. Blair was acting as God. Quite honestly, there are no words in existence to describe how evil a man Blair was and is! What makes matters worse is that Blair claims to be a Christian, but he is not, and his appalling example has increased the decline in Christianity in the UK. He has a lot to answer for and before God as well. At the Chilcot enquiry it was revealed that all 27 lawyers who advised the Labour government under Tony Blair said that any invasion of Iraq would be illegal. Every lawyer in that department said so. Sir Michael Wood, who was the Foreign Officer's chief legal adviser, told the hearing that he told Jack Straw, the Foreign Secretary, that an invasion would amount to the crime of aggression. Note the word crime. Wood was then side-lined because he proved from a legal point of view that it would be illegal to invade Iraq. Wood's deputy was Elizabeth Wilmshurst who stated that all the legal team were convinced that before any

invasion or military action be taken there was a need for a UN resolution authorising this. There never was such a resolution. Jack Straw's ignoring of the legal advice was described by Sir Malcolm Rifkind as intolerable. Lord Goldsmith wriggled at the Chilcot enquiry. He was pessimistic about the proposed invasion but said that Jack Straw urged him to change his views. On Friday 29 January 2010, Blair appeared at the enquiry. He was arrogant and unrepentant and jeered and heckled by the families of those who died in this illegal conflict. His entry into Iraq caused the death of 179 British troops and up to 700,000 Iraqi including women and children. I remember a BBC news broadcast live from a dusty village in Iraq. Behind the reporter were a group of happy boys and girls playing. Then there was a bang, the camera shook, the picture was lost and then came back. A bomb from a British plane had dropped and those children lay on the ground mutilated and dead. Blair is a liar and a murderer. He showed no remorse saying that it was right to remove Hussein since he was a monster. Blair said that the world was grateful to him for removing the Iraqi leader. He said that the second UN resolution was not necessary. It was. He said that Hussein did have weapons of mass destruction. He did not. He went on to say that Iran was now a threat and if he were Prime Minister he would consider military action against Iran. If there was a monster to destroy he would take the same action as he did with Hussein. And then we saw his Elgarian arrogance. He said that, as he was the Prime Minister, it was up to him and him alone, to make the decision to go to war in Iraq. Outside protesters noted that Blair said nothing in support of the soldiers or their families. There was no contrition. And yet at the enquiry he sometimes smiled and laughed. One banner was very apt: Blair lied, Thousands died. Blair said he has no regrets which came across as, I have done nothing wrong!. Outside a child was pulling at his mother who was now a widow. The child said, When is Daddy coming home?. Blair will get away with it but he has shown himself to be a despot. There do not exist any words strong enough to condemn him. He is a liar and a murderer and a war criminal. And he says he is a Christian. He is not. He is a hypocrite. He is a fraud. He obviously does not know his Bible. Blessed are the peacemakers no blessing for the warmongers. Thou shalt not bear false witness he lied. As far as possible live at peace with all men..

He that lives by the sword ( a weapon) shall die by the sword.. Thou shalt no kill. Thou shalt not shed innocent blood. Blair did. It is interesting to note that since Blair started this illegal war and, at the same time, professing to be a Christian, it has made many people despise Christianity as well as Blair. He has caused an increase in atheism. Had Iraq declared war on Britain and attacked us, we would have a right to defend ourselves and take military action. But they did not. Blair set himself up higher than God and it is to God that he will answer. The result of all this is that those who were part of Blair's deception will also be judged by God. Anyone who stands by Blair and still supports him is also culpable. The man is evil. Evil covers many things. It means, among other things, morally corrupt, immoral, cruel wicked and obscene and indecent. What Blair did was cruel. It was immoral and there is nothing more obscene than war. At the Chilcot enquiry, Clare Short, who was a Labour MP and loyal to Blair, told the enquiry that she asked the Prime minister for details of the proposed invasion. She was silenced and even jeered at by the Cabinet which was not a decision making body but a rubber stamp to agree to all that Blair said. He ruled cabinet meetings and did not allow disagreements. It was a pity that she did not give evidence before Blair for then he would have some difficult questions to answer. Clare Short said that she was railroaded. Her evidence was excruciating for Blair. She resigned two months after the invasion having wanted to resign earlier. Blair was a bully and it has been revealed that his successor Gordon Brown is a bully too. At the Chilcot enquiry Brown refused to answer specific questions but said it was right to go to war in Iraq and that everything the armed forces wanted they had. To go back to the days before the illegal invasion, Labour MP Robin Cook stated in the House of Commons in March 2003 that " Iraq's military force was so weak that the UK should not even contemplate an invasion. They probably have no weapons of mass destruction and why is it so urgent that the UK take military action to disarm a country that has been there for twenty years and which we helped to create and sold them weapons. While Saddam is a brutal dictator, he is not a clear or present danger to Britain. I intend to join those tomorrow who will vote against military action and I resign from the government." One could only admire Robin Cook. He died on 6 August 2005 from a heart attack while walking down Ben Stack in Sutherland. But it has been said that his heart was broken as a result of Blair's illegal invasion of Iraq. Blair did not attend the funeral. Air Chief Marshal Sir Jock Stirrup and Lord Walker Chief of Defence Staff stated that the rush to war meant that many soldiers did not have all the essential equipment and many died because they did not have body armour. There were insufficient helicopters. There were inadequate tent accommodation and shower facilities and mobility was constrained. Funding was short and there was constant pressure on the defence budget for strategic mobility and Britain suffered from under resources. There were problems with the transport of equipment. Helicopters were 'borrowed' from other countries The new Prime Minister Gordon Brown was Chancellor of the exchequer at the time of this war. He cut the budget for the war soon after it started. It was referred to as guillotining. Brown denied this and boasted of the amount of money the government had put into the war. In 2002 it was about 28 billion but now it is about 43 billion but it has to be remembered that Britain sent the army into Afghanistan from 2002 and the costs of that conflict are rapidly rising not only in monetary terms but in innocent lives and it is said that more troops to this country will not solve its problems. The presence of UK troops in Afghanistan will not defeat or destroy Al Qaeda or the Taliban.

In the Iraq situation, Blair insists that what he did was right. All the evidence before the Chilcot enquiry disagree with him in some measure. The chief inspectors of weapons, including Hans Blix, said that there was no evidence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. What can be said is that Blair is a dictator is that he has oppressed innocent people and troubled his own government and this country. He is a tyrant. He has led us into an illegal war, is responsible for the deaths of over 700,000 people and has encouraged subsequent terrorism in Britain as reprisals against this invasion. It is less likely that the acts of terrorism in London and Glasgow would have happened but for the invasion of Iraq. Blair is a war criminal. It has now been revealed that when Blair was Prime Minister, Binyam Mohammed, an Ethopian, was arrested in Karachi in 2002 boarding a plane to London. Later, he was trussed, gasses, blindfolded and wearing a nappy and flown from Islamabad to Morocco where he was tortured for 18 months and accused of training to be a terrorist in Pakistan. He was then taken to Guatanamo. It is proved that Britain colluded in his torture and in the torture of other suspected terrorists and Blair and his evil government tried to suppress this. This is another indelible stain on Blair and this nation. But there are other stains on this man. He was in a rock band called Ugly Rumours and, while at University his sexuality was in question and he was sometimes known as Miranda. He married Cherie Booth in 1980 and in 1983 was prosecuted for importuning in a public toilets with another male. Importuning means to harass with persistent requests. He appeared at Bow Street magistrates Court under the name Charles Linton, his middle names, in an effort to cover up his disgusting and immoral behaviour. As Prime Minister he said that he was going to clean up Britain but he accepted a donation for the Labour party of 100,000 from Richard Desmond who publishes porn magazines. He also received cash for favours donations. Labour politician Alice Mahon said that Richard Desmond exploits women and is the last person she would want to support the Labour party. Blair complained about sleaze by the opposition parties and yet he was guilty of it himself. While the Blairs were staying in the Miami home of pop singer Robin Gibb and his wife Dwina it was discovered that Dwina had previously been the common law wife of porn baron David Waterfield who was jailed for three years in 1975, but the sentence was cut to 18 months, for showing banned sex movies at two cinemas he ran in London. The material was grossly obscene. He had also smuggled into Britain some of the most outrageous and offensive porn magazines. Dwina married Gibb after these outrages and this was in She had appeared in blue movies of the 1970s and was a porn star. Dwina was a close friend of Cherie Blair. Clean up Britain, Blair? It has been said that Harold Wilson, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown are the worst Prime Ministers we have ever had. WARNING Copyright David C F Wright 2010 This article is copyright. The head of Britain's Iraq War inquiry says former Prime Minister Tony Blair overestimated his ability to influence decisions made by the Americans. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair says he hopes the Chilcot report looking into British involvement in the Iraq War lays to rest allegations that he used lies or deceit as a pretense to invade Iraq.
