3 FUNDACIÓN EMPRESA Y SOCIEDAD ENCOURAGES LEADING COMPANIES AND SAVINGS BANKS TO ACTIVELY INTEGRATE THE DISADVANTAGED (IMMIGRANTS, THE ELDERLY, THE DISABLED, YOUTHS AT RISK ) BECAUSE IT REPRESENTS A STRATEGIC CHALLENGE FOR BUSINESS The foundation works both to inspire and facilitate actions helping to improve social cohesion and its business competitiveness simultaneously. It is based on know-how and the systematic comparitive analysis of the approaches and metrics of leading companies and savings banks operating in Spain, conducted from a practical perspective. It is made up of companies and savings banks that are not just individually, but collectively committed, and with the business sector as a whole. It is funded with private capital, mainly from the 'fees' paid by its Partners, in return for which they receive services such as strategic support to integrate this kind of activity in their lines of business. It was founded in June

19 The Foundation and its Partners share the commitment of working together to enhance the integration of disadvantaged persons into society, both through individual work and in teams, by Partners and by the corporate sector as a whole. 19
