On a design quest I started off to understand how to code websites as a server side coder (back then it was ASP).Having understood how the back-end of a website works, I wanted to explore the front end of a site, that's when I got into writing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, later XHTML. Over a period of time I realized it was time for me to learn and understand what the user really wanted in the end product to work more efficiently. My design process involves - Working alongside product owners, stakeholders to kick off projects, get involved in defining requirements Understanding the user by conducting User Research. Ideate concepts. Carry out Competitive Analysis. Define Information Architecture. Create characters/personas. Define scenarios. Sketch initial thought processes. Define Hierarchy Define best practices Define Interaction Patterns Define UX guidelines Collaborate with the team. Design wireframes / mockups and prototypes (Prototypes could be simple click-throughs) I strongly believe in Iterative design by enabling user validations, user feedback at each review process. With a developer/designer background it really helps me to design interfaces while keeping in mind the technical feasibility. Interacting directly with the client one-on-one helps me gain leverage to improve communication and understand their needs. Work with construction designs for webpage s to create screens.
