2 PBM ONLINE MEDIA INFORMATION Professional Builders Merchant is excited to announce the launch of our brand new website, a web portal for the leading and highest requested merchant magazine, PBM. The website has been specifically designed as an extension to support the magazine and vice versa. This product is the result of one year of synchronized hard work in studying and designing the concept. At our goal is to provide our visitors with a captivating interactive experience. The site provides merchant professionals with a source of breaking news, business trends and services, legislation updates, industry events, exhibitions, jobs, and special features. We will also regularly be monitoring the trade s buying habits with the latest product and advertising news from Professional Builder and Professional Heating & Plumbing Installer magazines. We will continually strive to add more information to update merchants with the latest happenings in the industry. The core online audience includes owners, directors, branch managers and counter staff managers within national, regional and independent merchants. The site will provide an excellent platform for manufacturers launching new products and promoting sales messages to the merchant sector. The links to our Twitter and Facebook pages provided on the website make it easy for visitors to retrieve the latest content and information offering more ways for merchants to follow PBM online. In addition to the site itself there is also a regular newsletter that is ed to more then 6,000 merchant contacts, highlighting the most up-to-date news in the merchant sector. In addition to the site s informative content, the design and interface are developed in a way so as to provide excellent user experience. 5 EDITORIAL SPECIFICATION Articles MUST be: Agreed in advance with the Editor. Generic and objective wherever possible. Between 550 (one page) and 1,000 words (two pages) in length. By-lined to a company director or equivalent. Exclusive in respect of all competitor titles. Written with the merchant as opposed to the builder/installer in mind. A good standard of photography (in terms of quality and relevance) is critical and basic product shots are to be avoided. A selection of three to four images or diagrams is preferable. Text should be supplied via (to in Word format. Photography must be ed in JPEG format at no less than 300 dpi and at least 6 x 6cm. Product pieces MUST be: Technical in content. Between 100 and 200 words in length. Accompanied by one digital colour image, supplied via (in JPEG format no less than 300 dpi at 6 x 6cm). Press releases need to include company contact name, address, telephone and details (for Readerlink enquiry purposes). The deadline for copy and images is approximately two months prior to the publication (cover date) of the appropriate issue. We reserve the right to omit articles and product pieces for any reason.
