2 OVERVIEW The second annual Georgia Restaurant Week, brought to you by the Georgia Restaurant Association and the Georgia Department of Economic Development, aims to highlight the various dining options that are available to consumers throughout Georgia. This week will allow patrons, both local and from out of state, to explore various dining options throughout Georgia for a set price and experience the local Georgia products that are available in Georgia s restaurants. The Quick Scoop When: July 18-24, 2016 Where: Statewide at participating restaurants throughout Georgia. What: Showcasing Georgia s restaurants to consumers and attracting new visitors through culinary tourism. Audience: Targeting the 17,000 different dining establishments we have in the state of Georgia to participate in Georgia Restaurant Week Inspire patrons and guests to try new restaurants, whether they are local or visiting from out of town. About Georgia Restaurant Week is a collaboration between the Georgia Restaurant Association and the Georgia Department of Economic Development to inspire diners to try a new restaurant. We want to encourage visitors, near and far, to pursue the unique and memorable dining options we have here in the state of Georgia.
3 Event Promotion Now through June 2016 Website WHAT S ON THE MENU? General information on Georgia Restaurant Week will be posted on the GRW website located at Restaurant participants and guests will be able to browse the website to view participating restaurants, find information about the menu, making a reservation and more. Exposure Marketing efforts will target consumers that are interested in food, beverage and travel. Exposure will be on a be state-wide and national level. Other efforts include local, regional and national advertising, newspapers, television culinary events, direct campaigns, editorial coverage social media exposure and more. Collateral Various different collateral items will be produced such as restaurant recruitment packets, save-the-date cards, posters, check stuffers, invitations and more. The variety of different promotional items that are produced will build awareness of restaurant participants, sponsors and the culinary scene as a whole in Georgia. Get Social!
