RESEARCH EXPERIENCE 2015-Present Graduate Student Research Assistant Faculty Advisor: Alex Cohen, Ph.D. Affective Science and Psychopathology Lab Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge; Department of Psychology Development of a Mobile Status Exam: Lead research assistant on a mobile mental health project focusing on the development of an application to measure psychiatric symptoms, affect, and speech. Developed and maintained all study documentation and participant databases. Administrative Duties: Assist with lab operations which include the training and management of undergraduate research assistants Senior Research Assistant PI: Eric Granholm, Ph.D. Recovery Research Center Enhancing Assertive Community Treatment with CBT and SST for Schizophrenia (R01 NIMH): Lead research assistant on a longitudinal project focusing on the functional improvement in patients diagnosed with schizophrenia spectrum disorders through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Social Skills Training (CBSST). Personal research projects involved examining the factors (e.g. cognition, negative symptoms, and dysfunctional attitudes) related to social functioning. Responsibilities included administering behavioral, neuropsychological, and

3 LE CV 3 psychophysiological assessments, programming, disseminating, and analyzing computerized Ecological Momentary Assessments, developing recruitment strategies, determine clinical diagnosis with close supervision, managing a team of research assistants, and other administrative and research duties. Genetics of Functional Disability in Schizophrenia and Bipolar Illness (CSP #572 - VA): Research assistant in a behavioral and genetic project that investigated the genetic basis for functional capacity, disability, and suicidality in Veterans affected with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Responsibilities include obtaining and shipping biological samples, administering behavioral and neuropsychological assessments, conducting SCID interviews, performing comprehensive history of suicidal thoughts and behaviors, and other administrative and research duties. Assisted on four additional research projects: Combined Oxytocin and CBSST for Social Function in People with Schizophrenia (R34 NIMH) Ecological Momentary Assessment of Functioning in Schizophrenia (I01 NIH) A Nested Case-Control Study of Gene Environment Interactions and Schizophrenia in the United States Military Veterans Pilot Study of Pupil Dilation as a Biomarker of Cognitive Inefficiency 2011 Undergraduate Research Assistant PI: Amy Jak, Ph.D. Gero-Psychiatry Lab Neuropsychology and fmri Research: Assisted in multiple neuropsychological and neuroimaging projects investigating cognitive aging. Responsibilities include conducting some neuropsychological tests, scoring tests, data entry, and assisting scan operator during fmri scan session Undergraduate Research Assistant PI: Carmen Pulido, Ph.D. Adolescent Brain Imaging Lab FMRI of Alcohol Cue Reactivity Change among Adolescents in Alcohol Treatment (R21 NIAAA): Lead undergraduate research assistant in a behavioral and neuroimaging project on alcohol use, cue reactivity, and treatment. Specific responsibilities included collecting urine toxicology samples, administering Timeline Followbacks, assisting scan operator during fmri scan sessions, scheduling and administering computer based experiments, and other administrative and research duties. Also aided in the development of an emotional Stroop Task using alcohol cue words Undergraduate Research Assistant PI: Sandra A. Brown, Ph.D. Project Options Lab University of California, San Diego Facilitating Adolescent Self-Change for Alcohol Problems (R01 NIAAA): Assisted in a high school based prevention program that utilizes Motivation Interviewing techniques to facilitate age-appropriate strategies to end alcohol and drug use problems.
