1 About the Doctor Jae Hyun Park, D.M.D., M.S.D., M.S., Ph.D. Dr. Jae Hyun Park is a highly regarded, Board Certified Orthodontist with a strong commitment to clinical education, patient care and research. He is also a Professor and Chair of the Postgraduate Orthodontic Program at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH). He received the Joseph E Johnson Clinical Award at the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Table Clinic Competition during the 2011 AAO Annual Session. The AAO also appointed him to be the recipient of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA)/ AAO Academy of Academic Leadership Sponsorship Program (AALSP) Award for He is a Diplomate of and Examiner for the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). He was selected to serve as the lead judge for the 2013 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair which was held in Phoenix. He judged on behalf of the American Dental Association Foundation (ADAF) and presented three Special Awards representing the ADAF Organization. Dr. Park was recently appointed as Editor-in-Chief of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. He also serves as an Associate Editor and Section Editor of the Dentofacial Orthopedics and Orthodontics, and Growth and Development of the Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry (JCPD) and as an Editorial Board Member of the Angle Orthodontist. He is also an Editorial Board member of Orthodontics: The Art and Practice of Dentofacial Enhancement (Formerly World Journal of Orthodontics), Seminars in Orthodontics, the International Journal of Orthodontics, the World Journal of Stomatology, the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry, the Edorium Journal of Dentistry, Dentistry, and JSM Dentistry. In addition, he is a referee for more than 20 dental and orthodontic journals including the Journal of Dental Research (JDR), the Journal of American dental Association (JADA), the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJO-DO), the Angle Orthodontist, and the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics (JCO). Dr. Park was the chief editor of a recently published book entitled, "Computed Tomography: New Research." He also recently co-authored a book, "Molar Protraction: Orthodontic Substitution of Missing Posterior Teeth" and published it. He was also recently invited to be the Guest Editor of Seminar in Orthodontics.

2 Dr. Park received his undergraduate education from Seoul National University where he graduated with honors. He also earned D.M.D., M.S.D., and Ph.D. degrees from the dental school at Kyung Hee University in South Korea. He completed his Master of Public Health studies at the Graduate School of Public Health at Seoul National University. After moving to the States, he earned a Master of Science degree from the Graduate School of Arts and Science at New York University, College of Dentistry (NYUCD) and completed the Post Graduate Orthodontic Program there, receiving the Dean s Award, the 1st place of Master of Science Resident Research Award, and the 1st place of Post Graduate Resident Research Award. Some of his research was submitted for a patent by New York University. Dr. Park gained hands-on experience during almost 10 years of service as an orthodontist in Korea. While maintaining his practice, he also served as a clinical assistant professor at the Graduate School of Dentistry at Kyung Hee University and was recently appointed to do research as an international scholar with the school. Dr. Park worked as an orthodontic teaching fellow and member of the undergraduate clinical orthodontic faculty at NYUCD. He represented the school at the 2006 American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) annual session where he competed against 47 other orthodontic representatives, winning 1st place in the Orthodontic Resident Scholars Program. Dr. Park was recently elected to be secretary-treasurer of the Arizona State Orthodontic Association (ASOA) at the Annual Meeting. After fulfilling his one-year term as secretary-treasurer, he will serve as president-elect for a one-year term and then assume the role as president of the ASOA. To be more involved in the Arizona Orthodontic Study Club (AOSC), the leadership team of the AOSC also recently appointed Dr. Park to be an honorary member of AOSC. AOSC is one of the first and oldest orthodontic study clubs in the United States. He was also recently appointed as a Consultant/Site Visitor, Commission on Dental Accreditation by the American Dental Association. While working as a full-time faculty member at A.T. Still University since 2008, he has published more than 110 scientific and clinical articles in peer-reviewed orthodontic and dental journals including two cover pages in the AJO-DO, in addition to fulfilling his teaching and administrative duties. He also lectures nationally and internationally. Dr. Park has been recognized by Marquis Who s Who, American Biographical Institute (ABI), and the International Biographical Center (IBC) of Cambridge.
