14 What you said about working here In response to the survey question What makes this a great workplace? some examples of what you said include: In response to the survey question What would make this a better workplace? some examples of what you said include: I enjoy the environment I work in and feel I make a difference to students/our customers which make the job feel worthwhile. Team effort and great people that care for each other. There is a basic respect for standards and staff. My colleagues! It is generally a supportive environment and some parts of the organisation are managed to excellent standards. The University of Salford is part of the fabric of Salford City and it is a real privilege to be part of that. The University is staffed by some fantastic people at all levels and the majority of the students are a joy to work with. We need to look at better incentives and reward schemes for staff who go above and beyond. We also need to make sure all the departments feel like a team. Being more supportive and appreciative of staff and listening to our views! More team working as opposed to being a group of individuals, some whom are working on the same issues To listen to those that teach and instruct daily. More meaningful PDR. More time to prepare. More inter programme discussions. The full set of verbatim comments for your area have been provided to your management team; they will use the feedback to make improvements. Be please assured that the anonymity and confidentiality of this data has been preserved; comments have only been attributed to School/Professional Service level and no other identifying information is available.
