2 Harman Law opens doors in Monarch Plaza Firm brings a legal niche in mass tort and catastrophic injury litigation The views are spectacular from the new offices of Harman Law in Monarch Plaza. A former partner with King & Spalding, Matt Harman worked on the defense side of complex legal issues for ten years before opening his own firm and moving to the plaintiffs side of the courtroom. I felt a calling to represent those who don t always have access to justice, said Harman, a graduate of Harvard Law School and a native of Fairmont, W. Va. Joined by attorney Eric Fredrickson and legal assistant Nancy Berke, Harman first opened his firm as a virtual office. He looked at more than 50 Atlanta buildings before finding the perfect location for the firm in Suite 1250 of Monarch Plaza. The new location offers great views, room to grow the staff, and easy access to his favorite eats like Fellini s Pizza and the home he shares with his wife, Dr. Jenny Kim, an ear, nose and throat doctor, and their two children, Elizabeth and Henry. The firm specializes in catastrophic injury litigation and mass tort issues including defective drugs and faulty medical devices. Recently named among its list of Rising Stars by Atlanta Magazine, Harman represents clients across the country. Most recently he as helped victims of faulty hip implants, women who have suffered from defective vaginal mesh implants, and families who have lost loved ones due to problems with insulin pumps and dialysis procedures. Harman is known for his capacity to tackle complex issues, his ability to communicate with jurors, and for his high-energy determination to obtain success for his clients. He is a frequent writer and lecturer on legal topics, and often represents members of the legal profession in his practice.
