Must be knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of ready mix trucks, dump trucks, and various other types of equipment used in the ready mix and sand & gravel industry. This position requires that you have your own tools normally associated with the troubleshooting and repair of diesel engines. Must have a high school education or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a trained diesel mechanic. Must have a current Class B CDL and a good driving record. Must be able to pass a DOT physical. Must be able to climb up to 15 feet on top of mixer and dump trucks and other heavy equipment. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds several times a day to install components on equipment. EOE/AA/M/F/D/V Underground Utility (Pipe) Foreman Office Engineer The Foreman is responsible to manage a crew of 3-7 people in the daily tasks of excavation, installing or repairing pipe, and backfilling. This includes deep excavation work in heavy traffic areas. Supervisors are also required to provide & verify the scope of utility locate tickets. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in supervision of a pipe crew and building, installing, & maintaining timber shoring boxes around existing utilities. Underground utility experience should include conduit/pipe for electric, water, sewer, and storm drain. Prior training should include safety topics such as OSHA 30, Subpart P (Excavations), Confined Space & Miss Utility. A full size pick-up truck is required. A commercial driver s license, and a DC operator license (7B) are a plus. The Office Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Engineer & PM staff in job costing, managing project cash flow, preparing drawings, as-builts, take-offs, RFIs, submittals, change orders, obtaining permits & utility locate tickets, & coordinating with subcontractors. Experience should include 1-2 years of listed responsibilities, preferably in the heavy construction industry, & a basic knowledge of contract law. A minimum AS in Construction Management is required. Computer proficiency in the MS Office Suite is a must.

Prior experience with deep excavation and digging around underground utilities is a must. A DC operator license (7B) is a plus. Pipe Layers are responsible for working with the foreman to coordinate the portion of the job that relates to the installation, repair, etc. Experience & knowledge should include at least 5 years of working with underground utilities as a pipe layer, as well as reading blueprints, setting up & using lasers/transits, verifying shoring is installed properly, confirming the location of existing utilities, & operating power tools.
