2 Global Chemical Inventory Manager Given to users with update chemical inventory privilege Chemical Inventory Dashboard Layout Chemical Inventory Layout Click to view containers pending movement from one owner to another Click to view containers that have been recently marked empty within the past 90 days Click to view containers that have been recently added within the last 90 days

3 Available when given the Update Inventory role Navigate to Add Chemical Inventory Page Step 1: Find the Quick Link section on the Home Screen. Step 2: Click on the Add Chemical Inventory link within the Quick Link section to go to the first form when adding chemical inventory. How to Add Chemical Inventory: Form I Step 1: Set the owner of the chemical being added Step 2: Once owner is set, a list of locations and inner locations will be available. Choose a location for the new chemical. Search Owner Set Location Find user using recordset Step 3: Scan or enter the bar code of the new container. Click to identify chemical product Step 4: Click the button to go to the next form. Scan container bar code

4 How to Add Chemical Inventory: Form II Start by trying to identify the product using a few characters of the product code If the product code is not in the catalog find the chemical info by chemical name Click to go to the Chemical Details Screen

5 How to Add Chemical Inventory: Form III Step 1: Add a name for the new chemical. Step 1 Step 2: Provide any additional details about the chemical. Step 2: Additional details that correspond to the new chemical Step 3: Click the button to go to the next form to confirm container details

6 How to Add Chemical Inventory: Form IV Chemicals with the same product number and manufacturer will share the same properties and documents KEY Open: Indicates that container is open Represents the end of the shelf life Hide: Hides record from a chemical search except to Emergency Responder Owners and Data Administrators Surplus: Makes container available for adoption Secondary Container: Indicate if this container is poured off from another container in inventory Final Step: Click to save the new chemical and add it to the chemical inventory.

7 How to Add Chemical Inventory: Confirmation After clicking save you will be directed to the first form of the adding chemical inventory page and will be display a message confirming record was saved. Additional hazard notes are also displayed. Confirmation To upload or link missing SDSs click the upload missing SDS link and see Section Missing SDS. This link will not appear if the product number matches an existing SDS.

8 Updating Chemical Inventory Navigate to Update Chemical Inventory Page Step 1: Find the Quick Link section on the Home Screen. Step 2: Click on the Update Chemical Inventory link within the Quick Link section to start filling in barcodes for the chemicals to update. How to Update Chemical Inventory: Form I Step 1: Enter the at least one barcode into the box shown from form I. Each barcode can be separated by a comma, space, or a new line. Step 2: Click the and update all entered barcodes button to review You can scan barcodes using your handheld barcode scanner directly into this field Example of barcodes to be updated Click to review and update all entered barcodes

9 Updating Chemical Inventory How to Update Chemical Inventory: Form II Step 1: Review the chemical list for accuracy. Click revise list if the it is not accurate. Click the barcode link to get more container details Step 2: Make the appropriate updates under the specify actions section. Step 3: Click the button to update the containers. When checked CEMS will automatically mark other containers in this room as in transition or not found
