3 Energy Saving Scotland advice centre - Goals Persuade citizens and smaller businesses to view low carbon activities and actions favourably and to feel compelled to act Make it easier and more convenient for householders and smaller businesses to take up sustainable energy products, services and solutions Ensure that society visibly supports low carbon lifestyles through appropriate levels of commitment, leadership and exemplary actions

5 Domestic Advice & Support Energy Assistance Package - The Scottish Government's EAP offers real help to people in Scotland who find it hard to heat their homes. Home Insulation Scheme - Scottish Government funded and local authority endorsed. It offers insulation free of charge or at a discounted rate, to specifically chosen areas in Scotland.
6 Domestic Advice & Support cont. Advice on home improvements and products Home Energy Checks after answering a few simple questions, we can generate a free personalised report, providing solutions to help you save energy and money in the home. 7 Renewables Support Home renewable advisor available for personalised energy efficiency & renewable reports, supported telephone advice, site visits & follow-up discussions Grant of 30% up to 4000 available for heat generating renewable installations (biomass boilers, heat pumps and solar thermal) Interest free loans of between 500 & 10,000 are available for insulation, renewable systems & for replacing inefficient boilers. (Loans are only available up to a maximum of 4,000 for; solar PV, wind turbines & small scale hydro)
8 Community Support Green Communities Energy Saving Scotland advice centres can provide a number of communities with in-depth onthe-ground support aimed at reducing a communities carbon footprint. Community Outreach Officers - encourage public engagement - provide funding support advice for community projects - promote energy saving grants & offers to the public
