3 SEO SITE AUDIT To discover the current SEO potential of our client s site we run an on-site audit, this identifies any non SEO optimised areas that need our immediate attention as well as highlighting current keywords and previous SEO work. 4 IDENTIFYING YOUR KEY OPPORTUNITIES Defining your goals: Your SEO site audit will help to identify your key opportunities and any pain points with your current SEO strategy. Before we progress with our SEO process we first need to understand why you are doing this. What do you want to achieve? All we need from you is one main aim so we understand how to tailor our strategy. Here are some examples: I want women to find my website and purchase a product I want local business people to find my website and call my office This one statement will define your whole SEO strategy.

5 KEYWORD BRAINSTORMING AND RESEARCH: Put simply this is where our SEO experts get together and produce a comprehensive list of all of the keywords your potential customers may be searching for. Why is this important? This approach enables us to think like a customer, but ourselves in their shoes and define the keywords literally rather than with our SEO heads on. From here we take our list and research how many searches are performed on each keyword, allowing us to fine-tune and define the keyword strategy.

6 COMPETITOR RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS: To understand how to place you above the competition, we first need to understand the competition. We undertake a competitor audit that includes: Competitor list Who are they? Content and site structure analysis Is their site optimised for SEO? Are they offering content? If so, which types? Link analysis Total number of linking domains. Who are they? Traffic analysis How many people are visiting their sites? Alexa.com SERPs What do the search engines see? We now have a full view of your current SEO position, your competitor s position and your overall objective. Our SEO A-Team collate all of this information and develop a results focused SEO strategy, tailored specifically for your needs.

7 OPTIMISING YOUR WEBSITE: First things first, we begin with making your website as SEO friendly as possible. We use a number of SEO tools and techniques to optimise your links, tags, decriptions and site structure, ensuring you are following SEO best practice at all times. This stage is the foundation of SEO, it is the basis for every other SEO practice. Once done correctly, you will see rankings improve as a direct result.

8 OPTIMISING WEB CONTENT: Your site is full of content, product names are content, descriptions are content and even your address is content. The question we ask is how relevant is it? this question is also asked by Google, Bing, Yahoo and every other search engine. Our job is to review your content, and re-write to ensure it is compelling, relevant, informative and precise. We do not simply throw keywords in to the content and expect Google to link your page to a search term this doesn t work, would hinder rather than help your SEO strategy and is poor practice. Instead we use our ecommerce skills and SEO skills together to ensure the content on your website is there to help your customer, increase conversion and naturally increase search rankings. We like to call it SMART content.

9 CONTENT SHARING: To the search engines, your reputation is key. The more links you have from trusted websites, the more trustworthy you seem. Gone are the days of submitting your URL to as many directories as possible to achieve backlinks. SEO backlinks now come from sharing useful content with other industry specific websites. We generate this useful content and share it with other websites that are reaching your target audience. In essence, we show the search engines, and your customers that your content is so valuable that other sites want be affiliated with you. It s all about thought leadership. How are you doing in local search? As part of our link building we ensure your domain is submitted to local search directories and industry specific directories. Why? So that the next time someone is looking for your product in your area, they will buy from you.

10 GENERATING NEW SEO OPTIMISED CONTENT. At this point your site is fully SEO friendly, your content is relevant to each and every page and you have many trusted backlinks. We now need to ensure that regular, informative content is being generated from your URL. Not only does this keep your visitors connected and engaged, it helps to attract more visitors to your site and in turn increase site rankings. However, content should not be used to increase search rankings by the insertion of keywords. If you take this approach what you will end up with is a useless, non-relevant blog/whitepaper that serves visitors with a poor experience. Our approach to content marketing begins with understanding your customer and what they are searching for. We use our knowledge from this to inform the content that we write. Our creative content is therefore of interest to your visitors we provide something they actually want to read and if they like what they see, they tend to come back, and maybe even tell a friend. In the end your visitor numbers start to increase, which is something the search engines like to see and in turn increase your rankings. It all sounds very simple, but simplicity is only rewarding when executed correctly.

11 SOCIAL REVIEW AND STRATEGIC RECOMMENDATIONS: Social networks can be great for providing links to your website, but they should never be used for that reason alone. We will review your approach and provide you with recommendations aimed at increasing referral traffic. As part of our review we will evaluate the relevancy of your posts and identify any key areas of improvement. Your social strategy should be exactly that, a separate strategy that is linked to your other marketing channels. Our recommendations can be used to inform your ongoing social strategy.

Reports will include SERP information, traffic data and conversions from natural search.
