8 What do our students say? Entry requirements How to apply Natalia Prada, Colombia Class of 2016 Why did you choose to study this Masters course at Alliance MBS? I chose to study here because of its multidisciplinary approach. The course helps to improve my skills and to develop my own point of view of the global perspectives of business and to understand the different national and cultural aspects that affect a firms operation. How much time do you spend in classes and in private study? I spend 12 hours of the week in classes and around 15 to 20 hours on group work and individual study. How would you describe your student experience so far? Fun and challenging. Having the opportunity to work with with people from different cultures gives you the opportunity to get to know people with different interests and backgrounds, to plan and manage tasks and to develop problem-solving skills. What s the best thing about living in Manchester? Everything: easy connections with all the UK, restaurants, parties, people, friends, sports and music. What were your experiences of the residential session at Brathay in The Lake District? It s a great opportunity to meet new friends, work as a group and challenge yourself. Marc Wollermann, Germany Class of 2012 Why did you choose to study at Alliance MBS? First, the excellent reputation and truly international orientation of this school had impressed me. Second, Manchester offered me the opportunity to integrate one exchange semester into my studies. I decided to do this in Brazil at FGV São Paulo, one of the world s leading think tanks. What have you been doing since graduation? On graduation, I worked as a Management Trainee at Singapore Airlines. I now work in the Account Management department and have additionally taken over several complex projects. What has been your biggest career achievement since graduation? My biggest career achievement was definitely the acceptance to the the prestigious management Trainee Programme at Singapore Airlines. During my studies, I had always worked towards the goal of getting a demanding job at a global company upon graduation. I strongly believe that Alliance MBS and its reputation for excellence was a great advantage during my application process. But most importantly, the demanding Masters course has helped me to develop myself, both personally and professionally. What advice would you give to those considering studying at Alliance MBS? I can only give the following advice: if you have a strong desire to be excellent in what you do, if you have an international orientation and open mind, then doing a Masters at Alliance MBS will probably turn out as one of the best decisions in your life.
