Fusion College Company Course Welding Code Tests Coded welding means that welding is carried out to approved British and European standards which are covered by insurance guarantees. Increasingly, these codes are becoming an essential contractual condition of quality assurance. We offer codes related to the British Standards, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and European Codes. You can take the welding code training with the test here or just training here and the test at another centre. These are for companies and freelance welders. If you haven t previously held a particular code, experienced trainers will assess your current skills and if necessary, produce a custom made training programme. This will be designed to develop your skill range to the required standard and take into account all knowledge required for health and safety legislation. BS2640 Oxy-acetylene BS2971 Metallic-arc. A minimum requirement for working within the construction industry covering pipe welding skill range tests: within BS1295 BSEN Oxy-acetylene. This Code is Class 1. Pipe Code is used and required when welding pipe work carrying: steam, high pressure hot water, connecting boilers etc BS4872 Pt 1 Oxy-acetylene/Metallic- Arc. These codes are with, and used for welding and fabrication of anchor points, pipe guides, pipe tracks minimum plate welding requirement. BS4872 Pt 2 Inert Gas Plate & Pipe. Code and skill range required for welding of stainless steel fabrication to and within the catering & brewing industries. BS1724 Braze/Bronze Bonding Plumbing & Mechanical Services.
