Which began its activities in the Work Safety sector in 1999 by garnering popularity through marketing has made the decision to shift its activities to production in order to rectify the insufficiency in domestic production it has observed in the sector. In this context, the quality, product diversity, customer satisfaction and brand value attained with the EFXA Shock Absorbing Headgear, which we began manufacturing in 2000, inclined us to rectify the absence of domestic manufacturers in the Breathing Mask market. The 100% domestic production success we achieved with the EFXA Shock Absorbing Headgear gained further momentum with the EGE Breathing Masks and made Körfez İş Güvenliği Ltd. Şti the first company to produce %100 locally made breathing masks in Turkey. Aware of our responsibilities, we are continuously supporting our business partners in achieving awareness through pre-sale and post-sale training aimed at being correctly informed and the use of the correct equipment in the right circumstances. We provide our raw material from Europe and we have received our certificates from Europe. All our produts have CE EN 149:2001+A1:2009 and CE EN 812:1998 / A1:2001. 18 TECHNICAL INFORMATION MASK INFORMATION What does FFP mean? It means respiratory filtering + disposable + maintenance - free mask. What is the purpose of classification as FFP1 - FFP2 and FFP3? What is the difference between them? This classification has been made based on the filtering efficiency defined in EN 149 : A1 : 2009 standards according to the EU Directive for Personal Protective Devices Class Protection Against Level of Protection FFP1 Low levels of fine dust and oil and water-based mists % 80 FFP2 Moderate levels of fine dust and oil and water-based mists % 94 FFP3 Higher level fine dust / oil or water-based mists including hazardous pharmaceutical powders, biological agents and fibres % 99 What are respiratory risks in the working environment? Dusts Flit about in air in the form of solid big & small particles Liquids Flit about in the form of tiny liquid particles formed by humidity and condensation Gases Gases formed by the reaction of solid and liquids are not visible Stink and welding smoke : Generally in the form of stink, fume and vapour that excessively distrub the working environment. Risk in the working environment : Content / definition of risk Determining the product Inspection Dust-Liquid-gas-stink and welding smoke For instance dusty and humid environment? Enclosed area conatining domestic wastes? You can get more information and suggestions from our company. Once you have identified the risk, determine the most proper and cost-effective product. The person determining the product should be specialized in the field. Otherwise you can get support from the producer. The proper condition of the mask should be inspected by the specialist after several uses, furthermore the user should receive training on details including the use, storage and service period of the mask What is the service life of the mask? When you initially wear the mask on the your face, the breathing resistance should be very condition. When the user feels that breathing resistance has increase due to various reasons including risk concentration, humidity in the environment where the mask is used, indoor-outdooor condition of the place of use, service period etc, the product should be replaced. How should the mask be worn on the face? Once proper mask type is determined, insructions manual describing how the mask should be worn on the face in illustrated from that accompanies the product should be checked. The producer should provide this manual. Ege respiratory masks company recommends a shaved (beard or moustache-free face) or a wound-free user face. What is the shelf life of the mask? According to the EU Directive, the date of production and expiry date of the masks produced in line with the Personal Protective Devices Directive at the EN 149: A1:2009 standard should be indicated by the producer. Shelf life of masks based on ambient coditions by the producer is 54 weeks. 15

19 What is Active Carbon additive? An Active Carbon layer is added to filtering of the mask produced at the EN 149 : A1 : 2009 Standards. Small Carbon coal particles in this layer help protection against ambient stinks. Welding smoke and some light gases. Small carbon coal particles in the Active Carbon layer deliver superior perfonmance to the user. What is Dolomite test? This is not a mandatory or essential test that should be conducted to the EN 149 : A1 : 2009 Standards. It is an optional test. The test measures whether the mask is still usable after a service period of eight hours. How does the valve funtion? The mask is worn on the face as described in the instructions manual During breathing, polluted ambient air is filtered through the mask layer Fresh air is taken into mask The valve is engaged during exhalation Air flow occuring during exhalation opens the thin-layer valve inside Hot air and humidity generated inside the mask is discharged Valve does strictly not serve as a filter Valved mask ensures convenience, freshness to the user and long mask service life. What is the filtering material? In determining the rating prescribed by the EN 149 : A1 : 2009 Standards, the nanwoven fabric Nanwoven is employed it is composed of fibre layers with a quite low breathing resistance.
