Hagrass B-Professional Information: 1-Programme aims: The aim of this programme is to build the competencies of the candidate to point out applied microbiological, chemical, hematological and immunological laboratory investigations and their significance, interpret laboratory results scientifically, and the candidate will have a wide vision about the molecular biology and its important role.they should also be able to conduct cost- effective test. In addition, the candidate will have a wide vision about development of new methods and tools to analyze and criticize any research scientifically, and to use different technological methods which add to his/her Professional applications. 2- Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs): By the end of the MD programme in Clinical pathology the candidate will be able to: A- Knowledge and Understanding KU1. Enumerate the medically significant pathogenic organisms (bacteria, viruses and fungi) and normal body flora in different body sites KU2. Discuss how to perform the best laboratory health care according to the available resources. KU3. State different automations in laboratory and its applications KU4. Identify bacterial causes of water contamination. 2
3 KU5.Discuss mechanisms of molecular genetics. KU6.Able to reach final diagnosis. KU7.Describe Cellular and humoral immunity and diseases of immunity clinical serology and immunology KU8. Describe the basics of serological and molecular techniques KU9.Recognize immunological basis of tumor immunology, transplantation, autoimmunity, immunodeficiency and hypersensitivity. KU10.Outline measures of infection control. KU11. Description Structure and function of normal blood cells with changes seen in benign and malignant diseases and acquired and hereditary disorders.
