Please note that the Average Daily Rate shown above refers to a weighted average of the rates charged on September 30, 2013 for a semi-private room in Connecticut nursing facilities as reported in the following pages. The actual daily charge in a specific nursing facility may be higher than what is reported due to subsequent changes in the daily rate and/or due to additional fees for items, such as, prescriptions, unbundled services (some facilities may charge extra for certain therapies, like physical therapy), telephone, cable TV, linen services, and hair care. 1 Source: State of Connecticut, Office of Policy and Management, Survey of Nursing Facilities.
