5 Used to be part of the Social Sciences dept We are the D in MADGIC Maps, Data and Govt Info Centre we are all one big dept as you saw from the Map The data portals hold a wide variety of datasets from various sources This dataset will be the one that will best suit your research, whether it is for a 2 nd year stats course, an honours essay, an MA thesis or a doctoral dissertation Help everyone from undergrads to grads to profs to researchers to CU staff Only restriction can only be used for teaching or academic research, in other words, you are not allowed to make money off any articles you write using the data you obtain thru the DC 5

12 Imagine comparing gender and work roles in Canada, Japan and India Or just look at changing gender roles in the US in 1988, 1994, 2002 and You would be able to see whether or not gender roles have changed over the past 24 years How about the looking at what people think about the environment in different countries. For some respondents, the environment is not a concern as they are more concerned with having enough food to eat and having heat in the winter 12
