1 Juniper Networks NetScreen Secure Access Release Notes IVE Platform version 5.4R3 Build # This is an incremental release notes describing the changes made from 5.4R1 release to 5.4R3. The 5.4R1 GA release notes still apply except for the changes mentioned in this document. Please refer to 5.4R1 GA release notes for the complete version. Known Issues/Limitations Fixed in 5.4R3 Release The following list enumerates known issues which were fixed in this release: 1. AAA - Fixed an issue in HC/CC where the users are timed out due to session cookie deletion by CC. (45021) 2. AAA - Resolved a race condition which can corrupt a downloaded CRL. (43545) 3. AAA - Fixed an issue in certificate management where disabled CRL Status changes to enabled automatically. (43508) 4. CIFS Fixed the following DFS issues: 5. The following DFS issues have been resolved (42557, 44750): 5.1. For DFS file sharing on Windows 2003 Server and Windows 2003 R2 Server, if the domain root is a hidden share (name contains an ending $) and has links to shared folders on same or different domains, file operations do not work For DFS file sharing on Windows 2003 Server and Windows 2003 R2 Server, if the domain root is a hidden share and has links to hidden root shares on same or different domains, file operations do not work For DFS file sharing, file operations do not work on a root share that refers to another root share in the same or different domain For DFS file sharing on Windows 2003 Server and Windows 2003 R2 Server, if the domain root has links to hidden root shares on same or different domains, file operations do not work. 6. CS JSAM - Fixed a JSAM issue where it can't bind to local port 1494, 2598 on MAC OSX. (44893) 7. CS NC - Clarified the text in the Admin UI about Log Upload. When this option is enabled, logs will be created on the client. (40171) 8. CS NC Fixed an issue where NC s first page would display in the localized language of the OS instead of the language setting in the browser. (44807)

2 9. CS NC - Resolved an NC launch error which prevented users from using NC on a Japanese OS with a 3rd party GINA installed. (45227) 10.CS NC - Resolved an issue with the standalone UI of Network Connect, where the NC window would disappear if the end-user does not log in within a few minutes. (43654) 11.CS NC - Fixed an issue in NC where the NC freezes if it is launched again while one instance is already running. (44771) 12.CS NC - Fixed Network Connect connection problems with NTLM/Squid authentication proxies. (35647) 13.CS WSAM - Resolved a TCP Stack corruption on the client machine, when IVE is upgraded from an older 4.2 release to 5.4 release and WSAM is configured. (44441) 14.CS WSAM - Fixed mismatched connected to and closed connection log entries issue in WSAM. (35729) 15.EndpointIntegrity - Now appropriate error message gets displayed while disabling "Malware Protection" if it is selected in one of the EPS rules. (44868) 16.EndpointIntegrity - Resolved an issue with Host Checker, when HC is configured in various IVS systems. (42854) 17.EndpointIntegrity - Now Virus Signature Version Monitoring Update feature works without Advanced Endpoint Defense License. (44759) 18.Logging - Fixed an issue in Syslogging where logging fails at random intervals when external Syslog server is configured. (42048) 19.Logging - Fixed an issue in syslogging where blank server name entries couldn't be deleted. (41441) 20.Meeting Series - Add Invitee page of Secure Meeting now displays LDAP attribute (GivenName) correctly. (44159) 21.Meeting Series - Meeting users with slow or unreliable connections no longer cause problems to Meeting. (42878) 22.Meeting Series - Enhanced resource usage so that high number of scheduled meetings does not cause high CPU utilization (42803) 23.Meeting Series - Fixed an issue where usernames with foreign characters in the control request window during Meeting showed incorrect characters. (44472) 59.Win Term Svcs - Microsoft RDP 6.0 client (available through update KB ) is now supported by Juniper Windows Terminal Services client. (44388) 60.Win Term Svcs - Resolved an issue in a Citrix farm setup, where load balancing was failing if the master browser returns its own ip-address. (44340) 61.Win Term Svcs When logging off Juniper Client, the message, "This will disconnect your windows session" will not be displayed. (37660) 62.Win Term Svcs - Upgrading ActiveX control MSRDP.OCX no longer causes a disconnect screen when a user logs out. (40340) 63.Win Term Svcs - Fixed an issue with WTS bookmarks where the description field for the 3rd and subsequent bookmarks was not being displayed. An existing issue is that WTS bookmarks created through Resource Profiles causes the details to disappear. A simple workaround is to edit the bookmark after creation. Please note that this problem does not exist in releases 5.5 and greater. (44857)

5 Known Issues/Limitations Fixed in 5.4R2 Release The following list enumerates known issues which were fixed in this release: 1. AAA Fixed an issue with role mapping based on Groups in AD. (44344) 2. AAA Resolved an issue with role mapping based on usernames, when the usernames are in domain/username format. (44342) 3. AAA Fixed an issue with final clean up by the cache cleaner when the client is restarted abruptly. (41141) 4. AAA - When using Certificate authentication, some disabled CDP's were still being accessed incorrectly. This was fixed. (41760) 5. AAA Fixed an issue with the SiteMinder and IVE Idle timeout, when the idle timeout is disabled in the policy server. (42121) 6. AAA - Completed the translation of the "New Pin" page for RADIUS(ACE) authentication. (41880) 7. AAA - Now users won't be logged off when using dynamic policy evaluation. (41267) 8. AAA Fixed an issue with Date/Time sorting under Local Auth Servers tab in Admin UI. (43441) 9. CIFS - Now the User defined file bookmark location is not lost when user modifies the bookmark description or bookmark name. (42607) 10. CIFS With this fix, hidden files and folders will not be displayed on the file browsing web pages. Hidden files and folders will not be included in the zip file when downloading multiple files. (40829) 11. CIFS If the list of file servers exceeded 1000 servers, the complete list would not show up in the windows file browsing pages. This has been fixed.(39501) 12. CS JSAM Fixed an issue with JSAM failing to loading within a clustered IVS environment. (44003) 13. CS JSAM - When duplicating a role that has been assigned to a resource profile, the new duplicate role may lose its association with the resource profile. (42211) 14. CS JSAM - Now 11th slot wont gets overwritten after adding the 13th server in JSAM Resource Profile. (41353) 15. CS NC - Mac NC client now behaves the same as windows. Even if the pac file fails to download the NC client tries to connect. (41520) 16. CS NC Resolved an issue with NC when the end user configures a different proxy server for different protocols. EndpointIntegrity - Now HC post-authentication scans will run each time a user logs in. Earlier if a user logged in within the configured idle timeout HC wouldn t run a scan upon user login.
