Do you archive your diagnostic findings clearly and time-saving? Within the last years documentation has become daily practice. Do you still overview all your video tapes and unsorted print-outs from documentation printers with a poor image quality? Make use of the ATMOS patient administration. Select the patient from the data base, open new sessions and attach diagnostic records to them. You can input diagnostic findings either as text or in selecting predetermined codes. Search for patients, dates or similar findings from other patients. Are you satisfied with the image quality of your existing documentation? For many years camera systems, video recorders and documentation printers have been used in practice. The combination of timeworn components, which are not synchronised to each other, result in a poor documentation quality. 5 Are you able to exchange diagnostic findings with your colleagues? How do you currently exchange diagnostic findings with other doctors? The verbal description or even printouts with a poor quality are actually no longer sufficient. You just transfer your diagnostic findings to a CD ROM or send them via - without any loss in quality. Ideal for the exchange with patients, colleagues or for giving a lecture at congresses. Exchange of diagnostic findings with subsequent treating doctors or colleagues. Do you also have too many archived tapes? Do you use an analoguous video recorder for archiving? From the records lasting a minute or more you only need a few seconds. Cutting the records for reducing the amount of data is too time-consuming in the daily use. With the digital archiving a few mouse clicks are sufficient during the diagnosis. 6 Patient s file card Administration/ Archiving A patient administration system is integrated into the ATMOS Med- Doc. This feature permits the systematic logging of the diagnostic findings. First you select the patient in the database. The current records are assigned to one treatment and logged per day. A process control for each treatment is thus possible. Records Films and individual images can be recorded and automatically archived pressing the button. As in the case of a conventional video recorder the commands Start recording and Stop recording can be given via the installed software. This may also be accomplished by activating the foot switch, if required. Reprocessing An immediate reduction of the convincing parts of the film is essential to promote a better overview. The comparison with earlier findings is enabled by means of a full text search. You can also mark the essential parts of the film by two pushes of a button. All superfluous details will then be deleted at once. Searching The PC-Archiving system offers multiple search opportunities. In the archive a search can be conducted according to name, patient ID but also full text searches can be carried out according to diagnoses and findings. Exporting To exchange findings with colleagues the findings can be saved on external data carriers in conventional data formats without any problems. Integration in Microsoft Powerpoint is also possible. The findings may also be integrated into a patient letter. 6
