1 Demo of Data transferring (.CSV Files) from EGX300 to Our local PC/Laptop using- FTP

2 Hardware & Software Requirements Hardware: Laptop or Computer EGX 300 connected with Power/Energy meters Cross/Straight CAT6 cable to connect the EGX300 & Laptop (or) Connect the EGX & Laptop Same LAN Software: FileZilla Version (FTP server software- Free Version) The above software can be downloaded from the below website url Schneider Electric Power Business 2

3 System Architecture For this Demonstration office LAN is Used IP address of EGX 300: IP address of our Computer: The Ethernet connection can be made using a Cross Cable between the Computer & EGX300 or Office LAN is used for connecting the EGX300 Schneider Electric Power Business 3

4 FTP server installation Download the filezilla FTP server from internet Install the same in the PC/Laptop with default settings Configure the following setting in FileZilla FTP server as per the below steps and screen shots Once the FileZilla FTP get installed, it start automatically and run as Windows services in the background. Even the PC restarts the FTP server will starts automatically Configure the User names & pwd in the server, who can able access the FTP server Configure the SHARED folder (Within our C,D,E drive etc), where the FTP files (.csv) from EGX will be stored. 5 FTP User Configuration: After Installing the FTP server, the below window will be opened. Then Click on EDIT tab to configure the FTP User Name & FTP Sharing folders Schneider Electric Power Business 5

6 FTP User Configuration: Click on General and ADD the USERS and enable the account with Password or Without Password Schneider Electric Power Business 6

7 FTP Shared Folders Configuration: Provide the Read & write option ( used for both FTP files uploading and Downloading Click on Shared folders and ADD the Directories path (By browsing your computer) Schneider Electric Power Business 7

8 FTP Server Configuration: After the user & Shared folder configuration, just minimize the FTP window it will be running in the task bar You can also see the FTP server running in the Windows services Schneider Electric Power Business 8

9 EGX 300 configurations for FTP: Connect the EGX 300 by typing the IP address of the EGX (eg ) in the Internet explorer Go to SETUP and Click on Device Log Export Then configure the FTP Settings as shown in the below screen shots Note: Please establish the LAN Connection between EGX 300 and your computer as per the EGX300 user guide Schneider Electric Power Business 9

10 Connect the EGX 300 by typing the IP address of the EGX (eg ) in the Internet explorer Schneider Electric Power Business 10

11 Go to SETUP and Click on Device Log Export Schneider Electric Power Business 11

12 FTP Settings in EGX 1. Select FTP in the Transport option 2. Select the Schedule as per your requirement 3. Provide the FTP parameters like your Server IP address (Your Computer IP address) 4. Server TCP port 21 (Default don t change this) 5. Directory as BLANK ( Bcoz we had declared the same in FileZilla server already) 6. User name & Pwd as created in FileZilla FTP server 7. After providing the above details, click on TEST FTP Schneider Electric Power Business 12

13 FTP TEST After TEST FTP, you can see the FTP test successful appear in the EGX web page Schneider Electric Power Business 13

14 > Go to FTP Shared Folder (e.g. C:\SEI) After TEST FTP, you can see the TXT file created in the FTP Shared folder Schneider Electric Power Business 14

15 >> Click on Manual Export for testing the CSV file generation After FTP TEST, then Click on Manual Export to download the logged value in CSV format to FTP shared folder Schneider Electric Power Business 15

16 >> Created CSV file in the FTP Shared Folder You can now see the created CSV files in the FTP shared folders Schneider Electric Power Business 16
