Send a File to B2B Data Exchange Server Configure a Managed File Transfer Endpoint for an SMTP Server Step 1. Setup an SMTP Server Step 2. Send a File to B2B Data Exchange Server Overview Endpoints are points of entry or exit for documents in B2B Data Exchange. Endpoints specify how and where B2B Data Exchange sends and receives documents for specific partners or accounts. The Managed File Transfer application is integrated into the B2B Data Exchange Operation Console so that you can configure protocol settings that are not configured with the Operation Console. You configure partner host settings and account mailbox settings with Managed File Transfer. Use the Managed File Transfer Console to configure FTP, SSH FTP, SFTP, OpenPGP, HTTP, AS2, and SMTP endpoints. Managed File Transfer Settings Use Managed File Transfer to define host settings and account mailbox settings for B2B Data Exchange endpoints. The Managed File Transfer application contains a generic host for each protocol setting. To create a host for your endpoint, you clone and activate the generic host. Depending on the protocol, you specify a server address, port, connection type, inbox, and outbox for your host. After you create a host, you define the mailbox. When you cloned a host, Managed File Transfer created a mailbox associated with that host. You define the alias, user name, and password for the mailbox. Some protocols require trusted certificates to communicate between client and server. Use Managed File Transfer to create the certificate. Configure a Managed File Transfer Endpoint for an FTP Server You can create a B2B Data Exchange FTP endpoint that configures how B2B Data Exchange sends and receives files for a selected B2B Data Exchange partner and account. Use the Managed File Transfer FTP endpoint settings to create a test FTP client and FTP server. Create a host from a template for the B2B Data Exchange endpoint, and create a mailbox for the endpoint. Finally, send a test file. To configure a Managed File Transfer FTP server, perform the following steps: 1. Configure the Managed File Transfer logical FTP server. 2. Configure the Managed File Transfer logical FTP client. 3. Create a B2B Data Exchange FTP endpoint. 4. Send a file to the B2B Data Exchange server over FTP to test the configuration. Step 1. Configure the Logical FTP Server in Managed File Transfer 1.
