It is to provide learners with a firm grounding in insurance fundamentals and will enable them to build towards advanced technical knowledge, thereby ensuring they have the means to function effectively in a challenging environment. The Diploma can also be a route to completion of further studies in insurance. 1.1 Candidates must have obtained at least four (4) Credits language. 1.2 Candidates must have completed certificate of proficiency (COP) 1.3 All pre-service applicants must successfully complete 1.4 Special Entry: Candidates who do not have the minimum academic qualifications stated above but have a minimum of three years relevant work experience will be considered upon satisfying the requirements of the Academic Affairs Board. Insurance Broker Insuarance Agent Insurance Underwrit Diploma in Real Estate The programme is designed to enhance the competencies and upgrade the knowledge of Property Managers; Owners; Consultants and Practitioners. Changes in socioeconomic and political environment make it essential for Real Estate Practitioners to stay abreast with developments in the property industry, specifically relating to marketing, laws, social dynamics planning and development, property management, financing, and investments. At the end of this programme, participants will have an extensive overview of the real estate industry and be knowledgeable in real estate laws and regulations. 1.1 Candidates must have obtained at least four (4) credits language. 1.2 Candidates must have successfully completed the Certificate in Real Estate from BA ISAGO or its equivalent. 1.3 Special entry: Candidates who do not have minimum minimum of three years uninterrupted work experience in any real estate industry or related field will be considered. 1.4 All pre-service applicants must successfully complete Real Estate Agent Facilities Manager Estate Manager Real Estate Autioneer Diploma in Accounting This programme aims to give learners knowledge and skills required by employers in a variety of accounting and accounting support roles. They may undertake Accounting Technician positions with responsibilities for recording and compiling summaries of financial transactions of organizations for management purposes. 1.1 Candidates must have obtained at least four (4) Credits language. 1.2 Candidates who have a Credit in Accounting, Mathematics, Business Studies will have an advantage. Candidates who have successfully completed a relevant 12 months Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) recognised and accredited Certificate Programme in Accounting. 1.3 All pre-service applicants must successfully complete 1.4 A higher qualification in a relevant field will be an added advantage. 1.5 Special Entry: Candidates who do not have minimum academic qualifications stated above but have a minimum of three years relevant work experience will be considered. 4 BA ISAGO University College Diploma Programmes - 4 Diploma in Entrepreneurship The purpose of the Diploma in Entrepreneurship is to empower Batswana young men and women with entrepreneurial skills and knowledge so that they may go into self-employment and create jobs for themselves and their employees. Perhaps it should be emphasized that the mere launch of business projects is not enough. Projects must be put on a robust path of growth and sustainability. The entrepreneur can achieve this goal through acquisition of skills and knowledge in business management, hence the aim of this programme 1.1 Candidates must have obtained at least four (4) Credits language. 1.2 Candidates must have completed a relevant 12 months Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) recognised and accredited Certificate in Entrepreneurship. 1.3 Special Entry: Candidates who do not have the minimum minimum of three years relevant work experience will be considered upon satisfying the requirements of the Academic Affairs Board. 1.4 Practicing Entrepreneurs in any sector, and employees in both public and private sector. 1.5 All pre-service applicants must successfully complete The Diploma in Entrepreneurship prepares graduates to launch their own businesses and operate them successfully. These graduates can also go into paid employment and play important entrepreneurial rolesallowing them to be as innovative and creative as possible. Diploma in Transport and Logistics The Diploma in Transport Management and Logistics provides a qualification for middle and senior managers in the logistics industry, covering the management of the physical distribution of materials and goods. Management skills are a significant part of the qualification, along with skills in planning and managing distribution centers, managing inventories and planning logistics strategy. As a Transport Management and Logistics diploma graduate you will have a thorough understanding of the flow of materials, information and money between customers and suppliers. 1.1 Candidates must have obtained at least four (4) Credits at BGCSE (or equivalent) including a pass in English language. 1.2 Candidates who have successfully completed a relevant 12 months Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) recognised and accredited Certificate Programme in Accounting. 1.3 Special Entry: Candidates who do not have minimum academic qualifications stated above but have a minimum of three years relevant work experience will be considered. The qualification is suitable for those who wish to persue a career for example, in the Department of Administration of Justice, Non-Government organizations, Tribal Administration, and other law enforcement agencies either in Government or business world. The focus of the Diploma is to provide learners with the requisite knowledge, skills and competencies in areas related to Court Administration. Diploma in Law This programme equips individuals and groups with the necessary legal skills to enable them to more effectively carry out their duties in the legal sector. It will also provide critical training and impart relevant legal skills to court clerks in magistrate and customary courts, court interpreters, court reporters, court bailiffs and legal secretaries. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be used as an instrument for further assessment of matureage entry candidates The Diploma in Law is ideal for those who want to venture in the following careers; Court Clerk Consultant Legal Assistant Legal Executive Politician National Professional Diploma in Education (NPDE)(Part-time) The NPDE is a two year programme leading to a qualification that offers classroom-based teachers an opportunity to gain qualified teacher status. It is designed to help the learners reflect and improve upon one s classroom practice within the content of Outcomes Based Education (OBE). To qualify for direct entry into the two years NPDE programme,a candidate must: 1.1. Be a practicing teacher within a minimum of three years teaching experience Be in possession of at least Junior Certificate(JC) or Botswana General Certificate in Secondary Education(BGCSE) or its equivalent Be in possession of a Primary School Teacher s Certificate(PTC) or its equivalent Candidates without PTC may gain entry through the BA ISAGO Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy subject to the approval of the Academic Affairs Board All candidates must submit an official letter from their School Head to confirm their current employment. Diploma in Development and Disaster Management (NUST) The Diploma in Development and Disaster Management is intended for applicants who are already employed and involved in some disaster management activities but would like to develop knowledge and obtain formal qualifications and training in Development and Disaster management. The programme is offered in collaboration with the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Bulawayo The specific objectives of the programme are as follows; i. To equip individuals from private, public and the humanitarian aid sectors with effective disaster management skills and knowledge. ii. To equip the target groups wit knowledge on sustainable development through scientific approach to project management

To highlight the interdependence between sustainable development and disaster management. v. To develop information data base on development and disaster management through research and publication. 1.1 Candidates must have five (5) passes at Botswana General Certificate in Secondary Education (BGCSE) including English Language AND 1.2 A minimum of two years working experience in a related field. 1.3 Special Entry: Candidate who do not have the minimum academic qualifications, stated above, but have a minimum of five years supervisory/managerial experience in a related field will be considered. In all such cases, candidates will submit documentary evidence and be invited for and interview. Admission subject to approval by Academic Affairs Board. PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMES Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) The CAT is a professional qualification offered by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with the aim of providing accounting skills competencies and knowledge at the technician level. 1.1 Applicants must have completed the Botswana General Certificate of General Education (BGCSE), or its equivalent, and have achieved at least a pass in any of the following:mathematics,commerce,accounting or Business Studies. 1.2 Other qualifications may be considered on their merit as alternatives. This option is subject to approval by the Academic Affairs Board. Candidates choosing to persue CAT enter a world of unlimited possibilities. The CAT qualification provides an excellent foundation to persue a career in any of the following fields: Finance Officer Audit Assistant Forensic Accountant Internal Auditor in Business Business Advisory Services Upon completion of CAT Programme students may proceed to study towards the ACCA / BICA qualification gaining exemption at the Fundamentals Level.ACCA / BICA qualification leads to becoming a Chartered Accountant. BICA Qualification Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) is a professional body in Botswana. It has two stages; Professional and Advanced stage. The professional Stage of the BICA qualification forms the first stage of formal learning and assessment and, as such, aims to provide students with the technical skills and underpinning knowledge to perform their work as trainee chartered accountants in a variety of environment. 1.1 GCSE A Level-2 A Levels and 3 GCSE passes-grades A-C 1.2 AAT/CAT qualification 1.3 Any University degree-equivalent to UB Degree 1.4 ACCA Student who has passed Part CIMA student who has passed at least 1.6 Members of ACCA or CIMA or any other IFAC recognized professional accounting body. These are as follows:including English and Mathematics. 1. Minimum Applicants must have completed two A Levels and GCSEs or equivalents in five separate subjects, 2. Mature Students Entry Route (MSER) Candidates over age of 21, with no academic qualifications, must pass the equivalent of papers F2 (Management Accounting) and F3 (Financial Accounting) within two years before further progression to the ACCA exams is permitted. 3. Graduate-entry Route Relevant degree holders from ACCA-accredited institutions may be exempted from all nine exams within the Fundamentals Level and register directly at the Professional level. Other Degrees within relevance may also qualify for exemptions. The ICDL S mission is to enable proficient use of ICT that empowers individuals, organizations and delivery of quality certification programmes throughout the world. No minimum qualification requirements.
