EVENT HASHTAG THE STAMPEDE S official event hashtag is #thestampede RACE BIB Attach your race bib securely to your shirt so that we can identify you and you can easily locate your photos post-event. You must have an official bib to access the start area. There will be different bibs for 5km and 10km runners to allow the course marshals to identify you on the course. Only runners wearing a 10km bib will be permitted access to the 10km course. Your free drink token will be attached to your bib so make sure it s fastened securely as no additional drink tokens will be provided if you lose your bib. CLOAKROOM There will be a cloakroom on site to store your belongings at no charge. Please leave any valuables at home - We accept no responsibility for lost or damaged items. WAVE TIMES Make your way to the start line 15 minutes prior to your scheduled wave time. You must run in your designated wave time and your race bib will have your designed wave time printed on it. If for some reason you are running late to the event and miss your designated wave time, you may run in a later wave time. However no participants will be permitted to run in an earlier wave time. SPECTATORS Spectators are welcome to come along and watch all the action unfold however spectators must not interfere with participants or attempt to do any of the obstacles. There is no entry fee for spectators to attend however spectators will be subject to the $10 parking fee per vehicle. THE COURSE & SAFETY INFORMATION The venue is very rocky and much of the course is on uneven ground. Protect your ankles. The course and obstacles will be clearly marked and signposted. Please obey the directions of course marshals at all times. Slower participants are requested to keep left on the course to allow faster participants to easily pass. You don t have to take part in any of the obstacles you're not comfortable with. You have as long as you like to complete the course, there are no time restrictions or penalties. Participants must be able to swim 50m unaided as there will be a number of water obstacles along the course. There will be lifeguards stationed at these obstacles for participants safety. Only strong swimmers may do the water obstacles and any non-swimmers or nervous swimmers can bypass the obstacle, which we highly recommend doing. Due to the nature of some of the obstacles please expect some queues at certain obstacles along the course. Please be patient and follow any directions given to you by the course marshals. There will be some toilets along the course. There will be a number of drink stations along the course. Participants are encouraged to supplement this with personal hydration systems and additional energy sources if required. Due to weather and other factors, it is possible that the course and obstacles may change. The electric shock obstacle does conduct a shock of 10,000 volts. Please be advised that this obstacle may be dangerous if you have certain health conditions i.e a heart condition, epilepsy or a pacemaker. If in doubt, bypass this obstacle. Participants enter the event entirely at their own risk, as per the details included in the waiver form. 5

6 THE COURSE & SAFETY INFORMATION (cont) All participants must sign a waiver in order to take part. First aid personnel will be present at the event. The course marshals will have radio communication with first aid personnel so please inform the course marshal if you or a fellow participant requires first aid assistance. No diving into any water or mud under any circumstances. RESULTS THE STAMPEDE is untimed. Participants will not have their finish times recorded. You can time yourself or there will be a clock at the finish line so you can gauge your finish time based on your start time. THE STAMPEDE is all about having fun, challenging yourself, teamwork and having a laugh along the way. It s not about clocking the fastest time. Don t expect THE STAMPEDE to be a ridiculously hard challenge. Although if you do want to push yourself, you can purchase an option to run unlimited laps of the course. WASHING OFF Please be advised that a cold water rinse off station and change tent will be available at the event. Due to the volume of people needing to rinse off after the event all participants are requested to limit their showering time to a maximum of 2 minutes. There are tens of thousands of images to process and upload after the event, so please be patient with this process. So that the photographers can easily identify you, ensure your bib is on the front of your body. So that you can easily locate your photos after the event, we STRONGLY recommend writing your bib number on your arms and forehead with the markers provided as many bibs are lost out on the course. If you don t have a visible bib or number, then it will make it much more difficult to locate your photos. You will be sent an once the photos are ready to view approximately 5-7 days after the event so please be patient. PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE The personal accident insurance arranged for this event is a basic policy and as such it is strongly recommended that all participants take out their own private health insurance and income protection insurance before participating in the event. SMOKING Please note THE STAMPEDE is a non-smoking event. 6
