5 Site visits Held site visits with 3 hospitals (Avista, Littleton, Platte Valley) Visits planned for August & September Learnings: Hospital OB leaders are passionate about their work and committed to the project Teamwork and collaboration is evident Important to have physician champion at visit Variability in preterm birth rates and low birthweight delivery rates by hospital Data collection by hospitals is doable

9 Becoming a Mom A prenatal education program designed by the March of Dimes Offers a bilingual (English/Spanish) curriculum that is designed for pregnant women and women of childbearing age Consists of 8 two-hour sessions, designed to promote healthy pregnancies Applications due August 4 Applications will be due by end of year for 2016 program

Participants from multiple disciplines will examine ways to enhance prematurity prevention efforts in the US by sharing best practices for designing, implementing and evaluating programs and policies. The conference will be a forum for disseminating findings, sharing tools and resources, and engaging stakeholders in the effort to significantly reduce the US preterm birth rate by 2030.
