Base 2010 June Provisional data The monthly variation of turnover 1 for the market Services Sector is 0.6% after adjusting for seasonal and calendar effects The annual rate of turnover stands at 5.9% in the seasonally and calendar adjusted series and at 7.5% in the original series Monthly evolution of the turnover for the Market Services Sector The monthly variation of the general index of the turnover for the Market Services Sector between June and May 0.6%, after adjusting for seasonally and calendar effects. This rate was two tenths higher than that registered in May. General index of the turnover for the Market Services Sector Adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects. 2 Trade registered a monthly rate of 0.5% and the monthly rate of Other services was 0.6%, after adjusting for seasonal and calendar effects. All the sectors registered positive monthly rates, except for Retail Trade ( 0.4%). Sale and repair of vehicles and motorcycles (2.8%) and Professional, scientific and technical activities (1.0%) registered the greatest increases. 3 Annual turnover evolution rates for the Market Services sector In June, the general Index of the turnover for the Market Services Sector, after adjusting for seasonal and calendar effects, registered a variation of 5.9%, as compared with the same month of This rate was 1.7 points higher than that registered in May. The original series registered an annual variation of 7.5%, that is, more than four points higher than that recorded in May. All the sectors registered positive annual rates, Sale and repair of vehicles and motorcycles (20.9%) was the one growing the most. 4 Results by Autonomous Community. Annual turnover variation rates. Original series. In June, all the Autonomous Communities registered increases in their turnover in the Market Service Sector as compared to the same month of the previous year. Comunitat Valenciana (1%), País Vasco (9.3%) and La Rioja (9.0%) registered the greatest annual increases. In turn, Canarias (3.5%), Galicia (4.6%) and Castilla y León (4.9%) and registered the lowest increases. 5 Evolution of employment Employment in the Market Services Sector increased by 2.1% in June, as compared with the same month of the previous year. This rate in one tenth lower than that of May. Employment increased by 1.5% in Trade and 2.5% in Other services.
