3 Be part of it. In order to be able to provide retail advice, the minimum qualification required is the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. However, at Old Mill we expect our people to exceed this minimum qualifi cation. As a fi rm with Corporate Chartered Status, we require our key individuals to obtain Chartered Financial Planner Status in their own right. The Professional Development Programme is a five year scheme designed to produce chartered professionals who are equipped with the skills and abilities to undertake a financial planning career in any of the following roles: - Financial Planner Client Manager Compliance Manager Technical Manager

4 During your time on the Development Programme, will undertake a number of professional qualifications alongside your work related development. Certificate in Financial Services (CertCII FS) Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (APFS) Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Structured training, study material and study leave will be provided to help develop the skills and understanding required to achieve these qualifi cations.

Client Service Assistant Learning the day-to-day processes and developing a basic understanding of financial planning. Trainee Client Manager Increasing day-to-day responsibility and actively assisting the Client Manager. Client Manager After successfully completing the trainee role, will move into a full Client Manager role and utilise your increasing technical knowledge and practical skills. Trainee Financial Planner Client Manager work will continue but there will be a transition into client facing work. Financial planner Having successfully completed the trainee stage, your Client Manager duties will finish and will become a full Financial Planner. Knowledge & Qualifications Months 4 9 Certificate in Financial Services (R01, FA7) Months Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning (R02, R03, R04, R06) Months Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (AF1-AF5) Specialism specific Diploma papers (J01-J11) Months Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (AF1-AF5) Specialism specific Diploma papers (J01-J11) Months Specialism specific Diploma papers (J01-J11) Certified Financial Planner CPD You will have the opportunity to work within all three of our Client Service Teams, giving you specific financial experience within each field, as well as Taxation. 6 Supervision, guidance and support. Throughout the Professional Development Programme, a structured supervision, guidance and support network is vitally important. This will be achieved in a number of ways, including assigning a: - Mentor The mentor will be a senior member of Old Mill who will oversee your overall development. They will meet with to chart your progress against your agreed objectives and to help shape your future career. & Buddy The buddy will be a more immediatecontact who will be available on a day-to-day basis who will be able to offer direct support and assistance in your ongoing role.
