Ste Vancouver, WA Job Description Project Management/Estimating Support Job Purpose: Assists team with completing construction projects by organizing and controlling project elements and exhibiting leadership. Ballard Diving and Salvage is the leading marine and tunneling services contractor on the West Coast, based out of Washougal, WA with regional offices in AK, CA and Seattle. It is our intent to continue to grow and continue to provide superior marine construction and response services. This position will be based in the Seattle Office, however, short term and long term projects may be assigned regionally, nationally or internationally. If not assigned to a project, the employee will report to the Seattle office daily for 8 10 hours starting at 0800am. This position will be required to report to the corporate office in Washougal WA at least several times a month for meetings, training and project kickoff. The candidate must have experience in the marine industry and knowledge of current practices and regulations. The candidate will report to various managers depending on project/task. Job Duties: Support the companies Marine, Tunneling, Environmental and Remotely Operated Vehicle Divisions as required. Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals, contract and plans; conferring with management. Develops project work plans, schedule and submittals. Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from subcontractors. Determines project specifications by studying project design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates. Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.

2 Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions. Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering subcontractor contracts. Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions. Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains project data base by building tracking systems; entering and backing up data. Maintains company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Assists in developing bids and technical proposals. Attend and be an active participant in weekly job progress meetings with Operations, Accounting and Field Crews. Attend pre-bid job meetings. Skills/Qualifications: Requirements Analysis, Design Skills, Project Management, Process Improvement, Technical Understanding, Documentation Skills, Safety Management, Supervision, CAD, Solid Work/Modeling. Requirements: BA in CEM, Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering. Preferable, Not Mandatory: Commercial Diving School (ADCE accredited) All employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, presentations and proposals. Preferable, Not Mandatory: Working knowledge of standard Diving, Remotely Operated Vehicle, Sonar and marine salvage practices. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with the team. Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word and Project), CAD, Illustrator, etc. Ability to work in a fast paced environment while satisfying customer needs and maintaining effective working relationships. Ability to work independently. Ability to work under pressure and achieve required deadlines. Ability to proactively identify issues and offer solutions.
