Enterprise Ireland s Graduates 4 International Growth provides a platform for successful graduates to develop their potential in the real business world. By engaging with Graduates 4 International Growth, companies will be able to interview suitable candidates from a pool of carefully selected graduates before appointing them. Graduates will have gone through a rigorous screening and assessment process, giving you a final choice of only the highest calibre graduates. 5 04/05 HOW IT WORKS Graduates for International Growth is conducted over an 18 month period with a minimum of 12 months spent in an overseas market. Before moving to the target market graduates will spend an initial induction period within your company as well as attending 18 days delivered by the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School developing skills in international growth. Successful graduates will receive a Diploma in International Growth upon completion of the 18 month programme. International Growth Skills development at Enterprise Ireland will include: Developing Customer Value Propositions Building the Competitive Intelligence Function Routes to International Markets Implementing the International Sales Process Culture and Society: The Challenge of International Business Leading High Performance in International Markets. To ensure the success of the programme, Enterprise Ireland require that each company appoint a mentor for each graduate through their induction period and whilst overseas. SO, HOW DOES IT WORK FOR YOU GRADUATE PROCESS CLIENT PROCESS Online Applicaton Form Opens June 29 th - August 12 th Compleion of online Psychometric Tests Assessment Centre Download Applicaion Open from June 29th G4IG Application Closes August 12 th 5.30pm Panel for Interview with Clients Evaluation of Applications Interviewing between graduates and clients Hiring Selections completed Graduates commences employment End Nov days with 2 workshop days led by Enterprise Ireland Graduates go to markets- June 2012

The training has provided her with real skills to apply and use. Overall, we have found our graduate to be hard working, willing to learn and adding momentum to our business and so far, the G4IG programme has been excellent for us and we will want to participate in follow on programs John Nevin, Managing Director, Instant Upright As a niche precision engineering business based in Cavan, we don t typically have the time and resources to attract high calibre graduates to our business nor to take the risks involved in making such hires. A significant benefit of G4IG to us is that it puts us in contact with quality graduates who have come through a rigorous selection process, who are motivated and eager to develop and who would have not otherwise considered us. The G4IG process merges talent with opportunity, giving us the ability to continue to grow our business. This is a programme we expect to continue to participate on Peter Cosgrove, CEO, ATA Group TIMELINES 29th June 12th August 2011, at 5.30pm Company and graduate applications 17th August 16th September 2011 Company evaluation process July September 2011 Graduate evaluation process September October 2011 Matching of companies and graduates October 2011 Company mentor workshop at various locations End November 2011 Graduates start in Company December 2011 Graduates start Diploma in International Growth June 2012 Graduates start overseas based element COMPANY REQUIREMENTS Projects submitted by companies must meet the following requirements: Are submitted by eligible companies Be part of the strategic development plan of the company in international markets. Is sufficient to require the creation of an entry level graduate market researcher position Require that the graduate market researcher will be located for a minimum of twelve months in an overseas market Clearly demonstrates they have an appropriate infrastructure to enable the graduate to fulfil the aims of the programme Clearly state the name of the mentors who will work with the graduate, their role and how the mentoring relationship will be fostered Project and job descriptions detailing the focus of the market research Graduates 4 International Growth is open to all manufacturing and high growth potential traded services companies. Companies must satisfy all of the below criteria: Have a minimum of 10 employees Turnover of at least 1 million Be generating sales for at least 2 years Other exclusions to the programme include: Food Companies for human consumption and horticulture companies. FUNDING DETAILS Enterprise Ireland will contribute 70% (SME s) or 50% (Large Companies) of costs associated with salary costs of the graduate. Programme funding (recruitment, matching, training) will be supported at 100%. Full or partial funding will be provided against eligible expenditure. Full funding includes funding for programme and salary costs. Partial funding includes funding for programme costs only. Companies can apply for a number of graduates but there are limits on the level of company support. SME S are eligible to apply for 2 fully funded positions; large companies are eligible to apply for 1 fully funded position. There are no limits on applications for partially funded positions. For details of specific funding please visit APPLICATION PROCESS Application forms and guidelines for companies are available on the Enterprise Ireland website. The application form must be no later than 5.30pm on Friday 12th August. There is no limit to the number of projects per company that are eligible.
