July 2015) Program Mission Statement: The program provides and maintains an excellent learning environment and curriculum that prepares students for entry-level, diagnostic radiographer positions. Program Goals and Student Learning Outcomes Goal 1: Students will competently perform entry-level radiologic procedures. Student Learning Outcomes: Students will produce quality diagnostic images. Students will exercise proper radiation protection. Students will practice proper patient care. Goal 2: Students will develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. Student Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to modify standard procedures to accommodate patient conditions. Students will be able to adjust radiographic factors to produce optimal quality images. Goal 3: Students will apply effective communication skills. Student Learning Outcomes: Students will communicate effectively with patients. Students will exercise effective written communication skills. Goal 4: Students will exhibit professional values. Student Learning Outcomes: Students will display professionalism. Students will demonstrate understanding of ethical behavior. 2 Concorde Career College Program Effectiveness Data Credentialing Examination Pass Rate (five-year average) - The number of graduates who pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or an unrestricted state licensing examination (Radiography, Radiation Therapy, and Magnetic Resonance) compared with the number of graduates whose first attempt take the examination occurs within six months of graduation. 3 Program Completion Rate (calculated annually) - The number of students who complete the program within a cohort compared to the number who enrolled in the cohort initially. Reporting Period: January 1 December 31, 2014 Percent completion 56% 71% 75% Number of students 16 students started the program in of 16 graduated in the reporting period (2012). Many of these drops were in the first 6 months of the program and were due to career goal changes and one was due to a pregnancy. Seven students started the program in Five out of seven students graduated in The 2 drops were due to career goal changes. 12 students started the program in of the 12 graduated in the reporting period (2014). One had a career goal change, one was due to an illness and the other was due to a disciplinary action.
