9 Issue Essay Example: Importance of Following Directions Topic: Educational institutions have a responsibility to dissuade students from pursuing field of study in which they are unlikely to succeed. Write a response in which you discuss your views on the policy and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider the possible consequences of implementing the policy and explain how these consequences shape your position. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position. Be sure to address the most compelling reasons and/or examples that could be used to challenge your position. 15 What to Expect Multiple Answer You are presented with multiple answer choices. You are then to pick which of those choices is the correct answers. Multiple choice-one answer Multiple choice-multiple answers Numeric Entry You are asked to type your answer into a box Calculator Usage Level of Difficulty based on the first test
16 Why does the quantitative reasoning portion of the GRE test students the way it does? The test is attempting to decipher how well a student can interpret and solve basic math concepts. The questions do not require lengthy calculations, therefore strategy is key when analyzing the given information. Although it contains basic math concepts, the test becomes challenging when a student hasn t had much practice or review of these concepts in recent years. Students are not use to approaching mathematical concepts the way the GRE test presents them
