5 Introduction This mnu contins the instructions nd expntion of the opertion nd mintennce of the CAFITESSE 60 dispenser. The dispenser is mchine for prepring wrm drinks nd hot wter y the cup or pot. There re 2 modes: one mode with fixed wter connection (C61)*/**, one mode with remove wter tnk (C60)*. The dispenser cooing comprtment hs room for two ingredient pcks. The right-hnd ingredient pck wys contins coffee. Depending on the ingredients tht you put there, the dispenser cn dispense coffee, decffeinted coffee, or coffee with mik drinks such s cppuccino. The dispenser is esy to operte. A spects of the design re oriented towrds ese of use. Cening the dispenser is simpe nd requires very itte time. 6 Sfety instructions Opertion Insttion, progrmming nd setting up shoud e done y service technicin or other uthorized person. For sfety resons, never remove the housing. Do not use the CAFITESSE 60 dispenser for ny other purpose thn the purpose for which it ws intended. The dispenser is intended for indoor use ony, t n mient temperture of etween min. +1 C (33.8 F) nd mx. +32 C (89.6 F). Do not position the dispenser too cose to drin (dmp) or cooking equipment (het). Ensure tht the dispenser is not stored in pces where the surrounding temperture is ower thn +1 C (33.8 F). If the dispenser is nevertheess frozen, disconnect the power nd the wter suppy nd c the service technicin. Wrning The iquids tht re dispensed y the dispenser re hot. To prevent urns to the hnds nd other prts of the ody, they shoud e kept wy from the everge outet fter pressing seection utton. Do not eve chidren unttended ner the dispenser. Turn the dispenser off t the power switch when it wi not e used for n extended period (for exmpe, t night or t the weekend). Unpug the power cord ony if there is mfunction. When the power cord is not pugged in to power outet, the cooing system does not operte nd the ingredients wi not e cooed. In this cse, pce the ingredient pcks in the refrigertor. For hygienic nd function resons, cen the dispenser diy in ccordnce with the mnu cening procedure nd use the utomtic cening procedure for periodic cening; see the description in this mnu. Awys oserve sic hygiene. Use ony food-grde cening gents for the coffee dispenser. Cen the dispenser prts with cen, dmp coth. Do not spry or spsh the equipment with wter nd never sumerge it in wter. Mke sure tht there is sufficient spce round the dispenser for ventition nd keep the front nd ck ccessie for repir purposes. The dispenser my tit mximum of 5. Red the instructions in the pproprite chpter first (see the te of contents) efore moving the dispenser. The cpcity of the drip try is imited to pprox m (1 decnter). You must empty the drip try regury. Aso empty the drip try if coffee, drink or wter hs een dispensed without there eing cup or decnter in position. 2

7 For dispensers with fixed wter connection: Connect the equipment to mnuy operted tp. Use the connecting hose suppied. Wrning: Never connect the dispenser to source tht suppies pouted or ioogicy contminted wter. If wter fiter is incuded, it is excusivey intended for the eimintion of undesired fvours nd romtic sustnces (such s chorine). For dispensers without fixed connection: Wrning: Use ony fresh, cen drinking wter to (re)fi the wter tnk. For the est wter quity, you shoud fi the cod wter tnk with fresh tp wter ech morning. Eectricity Wrning: Wrning: Wrning: Wrning: Ensure tht the power cord nd the dispenser re never sumerged in wter or ny other iquid. Never insert the power cord pug into the power outet (or remove it) if either the pug or the power outet is wet or hs een touched with wet hnds. Never switch on dispenser if the power cord or power pug is dmged. The power cord my ony e repced y service technicin or other uthorized personne. Never connect the dispenser to power outet with chrcteristics other thn those indicted on the e. Storing the ingredient pcks Ensure tht the dispenser cooing comprtment is propery cosed t times. If it is not, the quity of the coffee or drink cn degrde. Refer to the Cfitesse pck for storge instructions. Awys check the expirtion dte on the coffee or ingredient pck ( use y ) nd use the coffee or ingredient pck tht hs een in storge the ongest. Write the pcement dte on the pck efore you pce the pck in the dispenser. Do not refreeze the coffee or ingredient pcks gin fter they hve thwed out. This wi hve detriment effect on the quity nd the tste. Wrning: Becuse of the risk of fire nd eectric shock ony repce the power cord with n origin power cord s provided y the equipment mnufcturer. As the prt numer of the power cord my differ per country, contct your Cfitesse system suppier for the correct prt or prt numer. Connect the dispenser to grounded circuit ony. The dispenser must e connected to n eectric circuit with n extr protection or prefery circuit with ground ek switch. When the dispenser is moved, ensure tht the cpcity of the eectric insttion is not exceeded when the pug is inserted in the power outet t the new oction. 3

Switching on the dispenser 1. Insert the pug into the power outet. 2. Press the power switch (fig. 4). The wter in the oier is heted. A fshing thermometer shows in the dispy nd the messge PLEASE WAIT. When the wter hs reched the set temperture, coffee cup shows in the dispy with the messge SELECT DRINK (fig. 5). The dispenser is now redy for use. Switching off the dispenser 1. Press the power switch (fig. 4). The oier is now switched off. The cooing system remins in opertion. The dispy shows the messge: SWITCHED OFF (fig. 6). The cooing system is ony switched off when the pug is removed from the power outet. 7

When the NO WATER symo (fig. 7) shows in the dispy, the wter tnk (fig. 8 ) must e fied: 1. Remove the id (fig. 8 ). 2. Lift the wter tnk y the mounting from the dispenser (fig. 8 c). Fig. 8 Wter tnk mode 3. Empty the wter tnk, rinse it nd fi it with cen, fresh drinking wter to the mx. mrk. You shoud fi the wter tnk with fresh wter ech dy to mintin the est wter quity. 4. Repce the wter tnk nd id. The dispenser is now redy for use. 8

Pcing/repce ingredient pck The dispenser shows symo in the dispy when n ingredient pck is empty. Pce/ repce the pck when the pck empty symo (fig. 9, c or d) shows in the dispy. (See so Dispy messges nd troueshooting for more informtion). Option: The dispenser shows symo (fig. 9 e or f) in the dispy when n ingredient pck is most empty nd the ALMOST EMPTY wrning is set, see fig. 66. Pce new pck in the refrigertor to defrost, when the most empty symo shows. So the pck wi e redy for exchnge, when it is competey empty. If the AED is ctive the dispenser skes, during pcing the ingredient pcks, if it is new pck, nd (option) if it is sm one. 1. Open the cooing comprtment door. 2. Lift the empty pck out of the dispenser (fig. 10) Be crefu of spshes, drops cn come out of the dispensing spout. 3. Throw wy the empty pck. 4. Cen the interior of the cooing comprtment with cen, dmp coth. 5. Awys check the use-y dte on the new pck. Never use pck whose use-y dte hs expired. Awys use the pck tht hs een in storge the ongest. 6. Foow the instructions on the pck.. Shke the pck t est 10 times.. Check whether the pck is fuy defrosted. c. Fod open the dispensing spout. 7. Pce the new ingredient pck in the cooing comprtment. Ensure tht the dispensing spout is propery positioned through the hoe in the cooing comprtment! When the Amost Empty wrning is set the dispy shows: NEW PACK? 8. Do nothing if the former pck is repced, e.g. during cening. 9. Press the enter utton to confirm if new pck is pced. When so the option sm pck is set, the dispy shows: SMALL PACK? 10. Do nothing if rge pck is pced. 11. Press the enter utton to confirm if sm pck is pced. 12. Cose the cooing comprtment door. 9

Pce cup on the drip grid under the righthnd outet (fig.12). Cution! - Liquids from the dispenser re hot. Avoid urns! - Use the dispenser ony when the trough hs een insted correcty. When the dispenser is used without the trough, the hot wter cn spsh round. 2. Press one of the right-hnd seection uttons (fig. 13). (Not on the pot utton, if present). Now the dispenser dispenses the drink from the right-hnd outet (fig. 13 ) nd stops utomticy fter one cup hs een dispensed. 3. Press the stop utton (fig. 14) to stop dispensing erier, for exmpe if you wnt the cup to e ess fu. The stop utton cn e pressed t ny time to stop dispensing (fig. 14). If the seection utton hs een progrmmed for continuous dispensing: (Pese note, this option doesn t function with mixed drinks, e.g. cppuccino.) 4. Keep the seection utton pressed unti you hve otined the desired quntity of drink. 5. Reese the utton when you hve otined the desired quntity. The suppier cn chnge this setting on request. 10

Use ony the ccompnying 0.9 iter coffee pot (1 pot is suppied with the dispenser). 2. Press the seection utton for pot of drink (fig. 16). Now the dispenser dispenses the drink from the right-hnd outet (fig. 16 ) nd stops utomticy fter one pot hs een dispensed. 3. Press the stop utton to stop dispensing erier, for exmpe if you wnt the pot to e ess fu (fig. 17). The stop utton cn e pressed t ny time to stop dispensing (fig. 17). The suppier cn chnge the stndrd pot setting on request. Cution! - Liquids from the dispenser re hot. Avoid urns! 11

Press the stop utton (fig. 20) to stop dispensing erier, for exmpe if you wnt the cup to e ess fu. The stop utton cn e pressed t ny time to stop dispensing (fig. 20). If the seection utton hs een progrmmed for continuous dispensing:** 4. Keep the seection utton pressed unti the desired quntity of hot wter hs een dispensed (fig. 19). 5. Reese the utton when you hve otined the desired quntity. The suppier cn chnge this setting on request. **) Continuous dispensing is not possie with the cod wter option, it is ony possie with tp wter. 12

Wer protective goves. - Contct the service provider for moving the mode with fixed wter connection! Preprtion 1. Switch the dispenser off. 2. Remove the pug from the power outet. 3. Remove the ingredient pcks from the dispenser nd pce them in the refrigertor. 4. Remove nd empty the wter tnk (fig. 21 ). 5. Using the drin hose, drin the wter from the dispenser (fig. 22 ):. Remove the drip try with grid.. Pu the drin hose pprox. 12 in. (30 cm) out of the rer w (fig. 22 ). c. Side the unit to the edge of the surfce on which it is positioned. d. Pce continer with cpcity of t est 2.5 iter under the drin hose (fig. 23). e. Remove the cp (fig. 22 ) from the drin hose nd ow the wter to fow into the continer (fig. 23). f. Repce the cp on the drin hose nd push the hose the wy ck. 6. Cen the dispenser with cen, dmp coth; especiy round the eft nd righthnd outets. The dispenser cn now e moved. 13

Mke sure tht there is sufficient spce round the dispenser for ventition. - Ensure tht the dispenser does not overod the oc eectric insttion. Moving the dispenser 1. Lift the dispenser crefuy onto serving troey or something simir to move the dispenser. 2. Keep the dispenser upright nd do not shke it whie moving it. 3. Position the dispenser on smooth, horizont nd ste surfce tht cn support the weight of the dispenser (26.5 kg). 4. Position the drip try nd grid in front of the unit. 5. Insert the pug into the power outet (fig. 25). 6. Switch the dispenser on t the power switch (fig. 25). 7. Pce the ingredient pcks (fig. 26). 8. Fi the wter tnk with cen, fresh drinking wter. The dispenser is now redy for use. 14

The dispy shows messge nd/or instruction to te you wht ctions must/cn e performed. To ctivte the opertor menu: 1. Keep the stop utton pressed; 2. Now press the topmost seection utton too (fig. 27); 3. Keep oth uttons pressed unti OPERATOR MODE ppers t the top right-hnd of the dispy; 4. Reese the uttons. In the opertor menu, the seection uttons ecome progrmming uttons (fig. 28). Enter utton (fig. 28 d), to confirm your seections. Scro uttons (fig. 28 nd ) (nvigtion/ seection), to pge through the menu nd seect options. Stop utton (ck) (fig. 28 c), to cnce your chnges nd go ck one eve in the menu nd to exit the opertor mode. 15

Some of those counters cn so e reset. ONLY READING OUT: - TOTAL RTD (Redy To Drink): Tot voume in iters of consumptions (coffee nd hot wter); - TOTAL CON L : Tot mount of iters ingredient from the eft ingredient pck; - TOTAL CON R : Tot mount of iters ingredient from the right ingredient pck. *) Option If the mchine is connected to cod wter or extr tp wter system, cod wter consumptions cn e red out/resetted too. READING OUT AND RESETTING: - TOTAL FILTER : Tot mount of iters wter pssed through the wter fiter (option); - BUTTON 1 (2, 3 or 4) POR : Amount of consumptions (portions) mesured y seection utton 1, 2, 3 or 4. - BUTTON 1 (2, 3 or 4) RTD : Tot voume in iters of consumptions mesured y seection utton 1, 2, 3 or 4. - HOTWATER POR : Amount of consumptions mesured y the hot wter utton; - HOTWATER RTD : Tot voume in iters of consumptions mesured y the hot wter utton; - C.WATER POR :* Amount of consumptions mesured y the cod wter utton; - C.WATER RTD :* Tot voume in iters of consumptions mesured y the cod wter utton. 16 READING OUT AND RESETTING THE COUNTERS: 1. Activte the opertor menu (fig. 29), see so Access to the opertor menu (fig. 27). The dispy shows: opertor mode COUNTER READ, scro rrows, enter nd ck (fig. 28). 2. Press the enter utton (fig. 30 d). The dispy shows the tot counter TOTAL RTD (fig. 31).

The dispy shows the tot counter for the eft ingredient: TOTAL CON L. 4. Press the scro utton (fig. 32 ) gin. The dispy shows the tot counter for the right ingredient: TOTAL CON R. 5. Press the scro utton (fig. 32 ) gin. The dispy shows the tot counter for the wter fiter (option!) TOTAL FILTER. Reset the counter, for instnce when new wter fiter is insted. 6. Press the enter utton (fig. 32 d) to reset the counter. The dispy shows: RESET? (fig. 33). 7. Press the stop utton (fig. 33 c) if the counter must not e reset. 8. Press the enter utton (fig. 33 d) if the counter must e reset. The dispy shows the seection menu gin, where you cn seect vrious counters. 9. Use with the scro uttons (fig. 34 or ) the counter of the desired seection utton. - BUTTON 1 (2, 3 or 4) POR or RTD ; - HOTWATER POR or RTD ; - C.WATER POR or RTD.* 10. Press the enter utton (fig. 33 d) to reset the counter of the concerning seection utton. The dispy shows: RESET?. 11. Press the stop utton if the counter must not e reset. 12. Press the enter utton if the counter must e reset. The dispy shows the seection menu gin, where you cn seect vrious counters. 13. Repet the previous procedure for the remining counters. 14. Press the stop utton (fig. 31 c) twice to end the progrmming. 17

Cution! - The drip try cn contin iquid. The drip try, grid nd trough my e cened in dishwsher. 1. Switch the dispenser off y putting the power switch in the off position (fig. 35 ). The dispy shows: OFF. 2. Cen the exterior of the dispenser with cen dmp coth, possiy using non rsive nd non ggressive cening gent (fig. 36). 3. Remove the drip try (fig. 37 c). 4. Remove the grid, empty the drip try if necessry nd cen them oth (fig. 37 d nd c). 5. Cen the everge outets with cen, dmp coth (fig. 37 ). 6. Repce the drip try nd grid in the dispenser. 18

The trough (fig. 38 ) comes free t the eft. 9. Rotte this prt further downwrds, unti you cn pu the compete trough out of the right-hnd mounting towrds you (fig. 39). 10. Cen the trough. Remove the cover from the trough (fig. 40 nd ). The trough my e cened in dishwsher. 11. Repce the cover on the trough. 12. Repce the trough in the reverse order. 13. Push the trough upwrds s fr s possie unti it cicks. (The fshing of the trough in the dispy stops). 14. Pce pot under the right-hnd outet (fig. 40 c). 15. Switch the dispenser on y putting the power switch in the on position (fig. 35 ) 16. Check the opertion of the dispenser y pressing ech seection utton once. The dispenser is now redy for use. 19

A messge shows in the dispy when the dispenser must e cened. The cening frequency depends on the ingredients nd the ssocited progrm settings.
